Do those actually work the same on our OLED TV's? My other Plasma TV has active glasses, but not sure if that's the same either. Cool nastalgia either way though.
They're anaglyph glasses, so the set doesn't make a difference as the image doesn't require conversion to be displayed. The disc already plays it as it "should" and the set reads/displays it as standard 2D content. It's a terrible old piece of tech though.

Nope, this is anaglyph 3D so play the movie, put on these glasses and enjoy ;)
You don't even have to get a 3D tv and player :)

Parts of them look glossy on the higher quality video through YouTube but it’s so tough to get a proper look

Box does look decent but not impressed with the rest

Steelbooks are made in Denmark also as seen on back of case.

Are US steelbooks made in Denmark also?
Very rarely since a good few years USA SteelBooks are mostly now manfactured in Scanavo North America plants that's why they often have different finishes to Europe releases

European SteelBooks releases are manfactured in Denmark or China with most been in Denmark

That unboxing video mentions the germany release a Plaion Shop Exclusive
The product shown in the video was provided free of charge for presentation purposes

The USA releases is 7 (4K UHD discs) + Digital only as in does not incclude any Blu-ray discs

I honestly not surprised if the Steelbooks aren’t glossy, Warner will be warner but in general I don’t dislike the whole package, waiting patiently for mine to arrive. On another note how’s this being shipped; packing wise?

First look of the Steelbook set.

As expected, no glossy steelbooks, but the metal box looks cool.

Still hoping the US version is somehow better, but canceling the UK and French preorders...

Ya'll should do the same. If there's 16,000 of this crap, they'll be €50 in no time...

Still can't get past the fact they photochopped the original art (turning the original colors to black). Freddy's Dead poster lived in my memory as all red; would look so much better if kept that way.
