This Wednesday, we’re teaming up with ISH and Laurent Durieux to pay homage to a manga legend, Astro Boy!

Osamu Tezuka’s Astro Boy character has been a seminal science fiction staple in Japan (and worldwide!) since the early 1950s. Astro, an incredible android built by a grief stricken Dr. Tenma to visually look like his deceased son, deals with a lot of complicated themes while also featuring extraordinary fights between Astro and evildoers.

Laurent’s print perfectly encapsulates the heart of Astro Boy’s story, with Astro coming to terms with his creation and identity. Laurent is a master at city architecture and creating smart compositions, and this piece really showcases his talents.

Laurent’s Astro Boy print will be available for purchase on Wednesday (2/8) @ 12PM ET on our homepage, Bottleneckgallery.com!

This Friday, Martin Ansin dons the red boots!
Osamu Tezuku’s Astro Boy has been an enduring and endearing character for our entire lives, and we’re overjoyed to be able to team up with ISH and Martin on a multi-faceted image for the legendary manga.
Martin’s bold and crisp lines, paired with bright and powerful coloring, bring Astro Boy’s world to life. We’re also blown away by how much lore Martin is able to tuck into a single poster. In addition to the standard edition, Martin has worked out a few clever and thematically appropriate variants for his image!
Martin’s print will be available for purchase on Friday (3/2) @ 12PM ET on our homepage, Bottleneckgallery.com!

This Thursday, Eric Tan takes flight with his newest print for the one and only, Astro Boy!

Alongside ISH, we’ve been steadily working our way through a dream team of artists in our ongoing print series dedicated to Osamu Tezuku’s Astro Boy, and we’re thrilled to release Eric’s ode to the manga and anime legend. Eric’s piece appropriately pays homage to movie posters for Fritz Lang’s Metropolis, a movie that Tezuku used for inspiration while creating Astro Boy and the city he resides in, Metro City. Eric’s take on a joyful Astro is heartening, and we’ve created some awesome variants to go alongside the art deco style of the print.

Eric’s print will be available for purchase on Thursday (7/6) @ 12PM ET on our homepage, Bottleneckgallery.com!

SDCC has come and gone, but we’ve got one last batch of prints from ISH that we’ve been able to save for the online crowd!

Jason Edmiston’s long-running Eyes Without A Face series is a hobby mainstay at this point, and we’re excited to team up with the pop culture painter for an officially licensed Astro Boy Eyes Without A Face! Astro’s EWAF is a special one, peering into both the child and android parts of Astro’s soul.

We’ve also got prints of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic cover to issue #2 as full-size screen prints! Eastman and Laird’s original comic run is full of incredible art and interesting story beats, and we’re excited to be able to release prints of our favorites from childhood.

A limited allocation of these releases will be available for purchase on Tuesday (8/29) @ 12PM ET on our homepage, Bottleneckgallery.com! All prints are in hand and will ship right away!

We’re proud to present two prints from Michael De Pippo and Giulia Del Mastio that share thematic connective tissue and long pop culture legacies, Astro Boy and Pinocchio!

Michael’s bold and minimalist poster for Astro Boy lays out the foundational elements of Astro’s story, as well as Astro’s body. Approaching Astro Boy as a pseudo-Operation board game, Michael’s print strikes at the heart of the story–Astro is a robot with a heart, but also a boy with dreams. Michael’s print hits on both a visual and metaphorical level, and we admire the depth of the piece.

Speaking of boys and their dreams, Giulia’s print for Guillermo Del Toro’s stunning stop-motion adaptation of Pinocchio explores Pinocchio’s relationship with his father (and creator) and with the powerful forces that help influence his life. Giulia’s art style is wickedly cool, and we’re excited to be able to team up for a charity release. 100% of profits from Giulia’s print will go directly to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund.

Michael’s and Giulia’s print will be available for purchase on Wednesday (11/1) @ 12PM ET on our homepage, Bottleneckgallery.com.

Kilian Eng takes us to his own personal version of Metro City this Thursday!

In 2023 we teamed up with ISH for an ongoing print series dedicated to exploring Astro Boy through a modern art lens. Our series allowed a variety of talented artists to create officially licensed posters for Osamu Tezuku’s beloved and enduring character and creation, Astro Boy. We’re so excited that the series took off like a pair of rocket boots, and we’re bringing it back in 2024!

Kilian takes the series baton and runs wild with it, creating a loving, and space-y, ode to the boy in the red boots. Kilian’s sci-fi art is unparalleled, with a supreme focus on building implicit narrative through architecture and nature. Kilian’s piece fuses some of the incredible lore from Astro’s history with his own well-defined art style!

Additionally, we’re releasing Kilian’s image using our new Multi-Layer Acrylic medium! With so much of Astro Boy, and Kilian’s own work, focusing on the future and technology, we’re taking Kilian’s Astro Boy image to new heights and new depths with our futuristic Multi-Layer Acrylic process.

Killian’s print will be available for purchase on Thursday (1/11) @ 12PM ET on our homepage, Bottleneckgallery.com!
