This thread has been created to provide insight for folks trading and buying. Sometimes knowing that a guy/gal has some or MANY successful trades/sales is good peace of mind.

IF THE PERSON DOESN'T HAVE LOTS OF GOOD TRADER RATING FEEDBACK, AND YOU DONT KNOW THEM, THEN PRIVATE MESSAGE a Trading Moderator. We can try to get you the info you need to feel safe and or make a safe trade/purchase!

As we all know, trading is at your own risk. However, we are able to stop many deals from turning sour if you enable us. We have one bad person who has been a scam artist at many HT/Blu-ray sites besides ours.

The posts below are from when this was a Good Traders/Bad Traders list ... from the date this OP has been updated ... this thread will only serve as a Buyer Beware and Hall of Shame for those bad traders out there. If you need info on good traders view their trader rating under their avatar in the post bit (to the left) or PM a Mod.

I suggest you PM a mod for any deal over $75 if you dont know the person, regardless if they have 3 successful feedbacks etc. This is YOUR community as much as it is OURS, and we'll make the time everytime to make it as safe as possible for all.

Added 1/23/2012:

Just a general reminder - If you are experiencing difficulty with a trade at our site, feel free to contact a Trade Moderator, and we can provide suggestions on how to resolve the matter, if the trade took place at our site.

If, despite repeated attempts to resolve the trade/contact the trader, you do not receive any communication, or items, etc, please use the Feedback system in place at the site, or the rest of the community will not be aware of issues with traders. In addition, you have a limited time frame to file Paypal disputes, so please familiarize yourself with that process, just in case, to further protect yourself. In addition, the Staff will take action against accounts for repeat offenders if absolutely necessary.

Always gotta send it tracked man, I learnt that a long time ago with ebay.

For items less than £20 I send them standard. 99% of the time everything is fine. It's the odd 1% they do the old 'didn't arrive' nonsense....that's the risk of selling these days. I'm not saying items don't go missing, but when you know something is not right when someone complains, it normally isn't right. The buyer still has answered any of my questions as well so my guess is I am done out of £20 quid. Now I got ebay telling me pretty much to refund the buyer on their generic email as they know with no tracking you are as good as dead...

@apsmith21 @Wreck If I report a post because said user is using my picture in his sales thread what happens next? I'm pretty sure he's using other members pictures too as none of the background environment of his pictures are the same...

Spill out the culprit, who’s using your images on the sale threads? :p

Or do we need to find out ourselves? :naughty:

I’m presuming you’ve contacted said member and had no reply?

all in good time my friend :)

You know... that would be the neighborly thing to do but I'm not feeling very neighborly!

I mean if this guy cant be arsed to show courtesy why should I? Thing is if he'd asked I probably would have let him use the pic as I've sold the item a while back...

I would imagine the first thing admin will ask you to do is contact the member first....if no response then they would look at it. At least, that is what I would be advising you to do initially. Does the person know the picture belongs to you? They may have just google image searched it and found it that way....

Fair enough. I have contacted them. They may have googled it, but it was only on an ebay listing so that's the only place it would have come from and they must be aware it belongs to somebody else. If you have a look at their sales thread, there are a number of items for sale... with photos all taken in different locations. So either there's a lot of googling going on or they're just using somebody else's pics. Why not use stock photos or better yet use yer own damn camera!

Fully agree mate, it's just laziness.

Bad experience from @comewhatmay , he pmed me back on the 12th of May about 5 steelbooks which he haggled to get them as cheap as possible shipped all the way to Thailand, pm after pm with taking pics of them and get them as discounted as possible he then finally asked me to put them aside for him until the 21st of May and I was like fine no probs. May 21st came and gone and nothing so I pmed him nicely about the deadline he requested but to no avail, I sent him several of pms kindly asking him about any acknowledgment and up to this date no response whatsoever, he is on and off the forum trading and browsing as usual but has no decency in at least replying with an excuse or anything.... never had any such bad experience ever and if I were you I'd stay clear away from him not unless he pays then and then....

Looks like Andy has give him neg feedback on a similar situation. That deserves Neg feedback, you need to give it, time wasters like that are a headache to deal with.

He’s obviously online as he is ‘engaged in a conversation’. I wonder what that’s about? :hilarious:

Anyone who agrees a deal, decides to pay at an appointed time, then no communication whatsoever when you know they have been online, deserves Neg for wasting time.

Same with me. We agree for a price of a steelbook and the shipping. Told me he would pay next week. He vanished ( not answering my pms) and after 2 months, i put a new steelbook for sale he send me a pm asking him to give him a good price for it and the other one we talked like 2 months ago.
I told him the other one is sold out but the other one is available. And then he vanished again :hilarious:

Agree with djhilalo, stay away from him. Not worth your time.

Hey @karl01 , I've moved your post here so that others see your post and pitch in as well.

I would suggest to first contact your post office and give them the tracking info as they should be able to tell you where the package was dropped.

It could be that the mailman (following perhaps incorrect info on the package label) dropped it at a different location. Or he just made a mistake.

Seller might have made a typo too, resulting in a different address, so check there and ask the seller to confirm to which shipping address he has sent the package to and to show you receipt if he's kept it as that should show the "address to" info. Good luck.

Was anyone at your home at 13:04 today? If not, have you asked your neighbours or checked any potential "safeplaces" you may have incase the package could have been left somewhere?

If none of the above, all you can really do at this stage is contact your local PO/delivery office and give them the tracking # as @Apollon already advised. From there they'll advise you what to do and investigate.

I have had that happen to me a few times. In all cases the item was delivered the day after. It's usually down to the delivery person or somebody at dispatch klicking a wrong button in their system menue and instead of "preparing for delivery" they press "delivered" which results in an online tracking stating that it has - even though it obviously hasn't. I wouldn't be worried!

Check the tracking for the delivery office and go in person. Maybe the postie scanned delivered in error and was too big for the letterbox and forgot to leave a card
