Depends on how they are shipping it. Does anyone know if they are coming from the warehouse or stores?

Stores usually send in bubble mailers.

I would give it a hard pass if that's happening.

Completely fair. I could imagine these getting sent back, someone forgot the deal, the WB / Discovery merger happens and suddenly someone asks why all this product is just in storage!!

It never came with gloss finish. The first batch had satin finish. The reprint should be identical. All the other recent reprints have been exactly the same.

I don't think it's actually a reprint. I'm reading that there are a lot of copies with torn J-cards and torn shrink-wrap in the batches that the Best Buy stores just received.

Perhaps. The reason any steelbooks get restocked a year later has always been a mystery to me. Usually all we can do is speculate.
