I have recently watched my 4K disc of Inglorious Basterds and have some questions about the subtitles. I have tried to find an answer via Google without any success so wondered if somebody could assist with this?
The colour of the subs on the 4K disc is green, not the original yellow. This makes the subs unreadable in some scenes due to background blending. I have the Zavvi complete edition and it is the same on both 4K discs! I popped in both the blu rays and bam the original yellow, much clearer and as intended.
So was this intentional? Is it the same across all the 4K versions of this film including the vanilla release or do I have faulty discs? I could live with the colour change if they were readable throughout the entirety of the film, as they're not it kind of renders the 4K version useless which is obviously not why we buy 4K.
