the blufans premium line / blufans x marvel line is for vips only and people who joined 8 gbs the last 3 years.
Ugh. Hope that doesn't relate to here.

I love films, but my steelbook collecting isn't what it was when I first began.

Saying that, there are certain lines I DO make sure I collect for, MCU films being one.

I'd hate to miss out on a matching trilogy set of GoTG because I didn't want various other steelbooks that I had no intention of spending a premium on...

Same.

I know VIP get priority (or used too, assume they still do) but for us more selective fans, it feels a tad unfair if we are to be locked out wholly.

It probably will be, or at least priority will be given to those members first, which is how it's working everywhere else.

If its under $130 USD for Scalper Prices or reseller then I'll pay it. Over that no thanks; I'll pray the Manta Lab gods bless us with a jazzy version of theirs. Worst thing is why in the heck is the production run so low? Like they could print 5-10K units of these and easily sell it as the film grossed just under a billion dollars globally

Numbers havnt been announced yet as far as am aware...they could do a few thousand per edition yet
They haven't, no. They've used similar low print run terminology to their prestige and great gatsby releases though, and they're both 1,500 each, so I'd be surprised if they're more than that.

and just like that i remember the prestige still hasnt shipped.

So you can only buy if you have 50 bf releases?
That's the requirements to be a VIP with Kevin, yes. They get first dibs, but that's not the criteria for the release. I believe any non VIPs can buy, assuming any copies remain, if they have bought 5 blufans during the last 2 years.

These are Kevin's requirements though. Other GBs (including Wreck's here) may have different criteria to join.

If they printed 5K+ units it start’s to not really be all that collectible which is why I’m really glad they are not doing so. If they did you should just wait and buy it for less later.
I’d rather miss out once in a while on a releases than over saturate the market where the steelbook becomes worthless and not a collectible anymore,

But that’s me, there are many collectors here that never sell any of there collection and keep it all, which is fine everyone is different.
I sell titles when I no longer need/want or in some cases become worth so much more than I paid for them, get a better 4K steelbook with art I prefer on a film I only need 1.
Just depends on how much I like the fiIm, if I have a complete set, and so forth. I just support my collecting partially buy selling mostly older steels now and then.
