Here are the most wanted Steelbook releases, as voted for by members of HDN according to the 'Feedback Forum'.

The idea of this thread is to gather the information from threads in the feedback forum and present it all in one place. Studios/Retailers may take notice if our Steelbook wants are presented so clearly. The only rules are that it can not have had a Blu-ray Steelbook release before and must have a majority of yes votes. If you notice a title that is missing (or subsequently matches the criteria), then please post below with a link to the thread.

So yet another wave is announced that completely ignores people's most wanted steels. They're not necessarily bad movies but I don't remember anyone asking for a Sunshine, Cocoon or The Fly steel :(

At least 28 Weeks Later had a few votes though I suppose...

Hey guys-just remember that there are 1000's and 1000's of movies released worldwide-the studio will always have the final say. But, many films for which HDN has had polls, or has been given some choices to vote for, have been released. It's all relative. Snoo's doing a great job here of keeping track-keep voicing your opinions, everyone!

Great list in general - Surprised some of the 'classics' don't have a higher vote... 'Rear Window', 'The Birds' etc...

I've got my credit card ready for 'Bullitt' if it ever happens.

There should be steelbook editions of World War 2 classics. Just imagine how awesome the artwork would be. Nothing new or fancy, just use the old posters and some awesome embossement. There are only a few WW2 classics in steelbook form, most recent one is The Great Escape, but they should have embossed it and add a glossy finish and some kind of an additional booklet.

Put some effort in it damnit !

Some nominees;

- The Longest Day
- A Bridge Too Far
- The Guns of Navarone
- Where Eagles Dare
- Kelly's Heroes
- In Harm's Way
- Tora! Tora! Tora!

Many more (also lesser known ones, but let's just suggest the known ones. Don't expect any retailer to put a 4k order in for 'Is Paris Burning?' or a similar old, not well known title :p ).

^^ Great list - especially 'A Bridge Too Far' and 'Where Eagles Dare'

Another I'd like to see would be 'The Dirty Dozen'

...and I'd buy 'The Eagle Has Landed' too.

snatch, lock stock, dredd, the fighter, blues brothers, casino royale and quantum of solace, breaking bad and the x-files (although that may start to get expensive)

Thanks for all the work you're putting to this thread. . It would be good for it to be sticky but in the mean time, I've book marked it so I can easily come back and vote on any additions made to the list.
I think I voted yes to around 25-30% on the list, I would love to see some hitch classics in steelbook. I also want Zesty's designs of the lost boys and coming to america. I would also really like red dragon and hannibal to join the silence of the lambs (wouldn't mind if they tried again for SOTL as the first effort could be improved upon. Not sure if there's a thread for RD and Hannibal.

Thanks again for all the time and effort you're putting in:thumbs:
