Look at the disc as in any dvd or Blu-ray or uhd you been using since 2003 to watch the film
What title does it say on the disc itself and packaging

All home media releases since dvd release has as the title Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark

Why do you think Amazon/Target/Best Buy websites have listed as Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark

The first dvd release was in 2003 if you not aware

George Lucas officially renamed the film title to
Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark

Yes but everybody knows that George Lucas is wrong and that Greedo shot first.

The title of the film was changed

As to if you like that change by George Lucas or not does not change the fact it was changed

This is why you see the title Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark on packaging and discs for home media releases since 1999

As all the other films after Raiders have Indiana Jones in the title the change was to be consistent with those films titles

It's also why the 4th film was called Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

The 5th film in 2023 will also have in it's title Indiana Jones and the

The film’s title never got changed. The marketing got changed. Just like Star Wars did. The film’s title will forever be Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Richard Amsel’s poster art was Raiders of the Lost Ark and this SteelBook appropriately preserves that.

The film title did get changed

Yes when you watch the film the title on screen is Raiders of the Lost Ark

It's not marketing its officially called Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark since 1999 so it matches all the other films in the franchise.
That is why the title was changed and why home media releases VHS/DVD/Blu-ray/UHD since 1999 has that title

Even the digital version on iTunes for example has that title

That is why all packaging and the actual discs has that title and retailers websites list that title

Even the UHD disc in this release has that title that disc title is not going change in this steelbook

All 4 films and including the upcoming 5th film have Indiana Jones and the in the films title

It's also very likely under the jcard will have Indiana Jones
So don't be surprised if the actual steelbook ends up different to the mock up

I be very surprised if Gerorge Lucas allow the use of just Raiders of the Lost Ark on this release considering all previous releases since 1999 has had the changed title

The only exception since 1999 has been film soundtrack CD and Vinyl and original posters keeping the original title in regards to artwork

I like to get my Target orders in early so we are most likely to get shipped from the warehouse.

I've added a group buy but can restock depending on the overall interest.

Now available to order from Best Buy if you prefer.

Seeing as this steelbook also comes with a copy of an original poster (which also excludes the 'Indiana Jones' from it) maybe it's part of an 'original artwork design' wave or something.....

It doesn't look like a mock up error as you can see the 'Indiana Jones' on the discs in the same pic.

I don't see much point in this release if other 3 movies won't get same treatment.
Am holding to my original Zavvi IJ steelbooks.

It is marketing whatever way you look at it.

The title has been changed on home video packaging for years to unify the series. This is nothing new...

The Final Conflict is called Omen III The Final Conflict on latter VHS, DVD and Blu-ray. The onscreen title remains The Final Conflict, just as the onscreen title for this is Raiders of the Lost Ark.

For something like Star Wars it's different. The onscreen title since 1980ish has been Star Wars Episode IV A New Hope. This was the title it had when most of us saw it probably. We tend to refer to it as Star Wars, just like we tend to call next one Empire and the next one Jedi. As in, 'I've seen Star Wars, Empire and Jedi, but not Revenge of the Sith' for example.

Most, if not all, movie guides refer to this as Raiders of the Lost Ark, no matter what Lucasfilm might wish to call it.

I have seen Star Wars in the cinema in 1977 there a lot of members on HDN who seen Star Wars film in 1977 when first released or saw when released again in cinemas in 1978/1979/1980 if you not aware so it's not most of us who saw the film with the new title IV A New Hope
The difference with Star Wars was there was sequals that happened later that led to change to the title Episode IV A New Hope in 1981 a year after Empire Strikes Back was released
Cinema re release in 1981 used the new title Episode IV A New Hope and also in 1982 and later years
Later a re-edit of the film in 1997 led to have title on screen also changing to Episode IV A New Hope but was known as Episode IV A New Hope since 1981

When Star Wars was created in 1977 they did not have have plans for sequels to be made
20th century fox did not even know in 1977 if the film was going to be a massive blockbuster hit or a flop until after the film was released and no reason at that time to have the title Episode IV A New Hope

George Lucas himself officially retitled Raiders of the Lost Ark to Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark in 1999 it was not a Paramount decision
Yes the title is still Raiders of the Lost Ark when watching the film on screen but the title was still officially retitled even if you don't see that name change on screen when watching the film

In regards to The Omen films and Star Wars films they have nothing to do with Indiana Jones films apart from they also had sequals made but so has a lot of other films over the years

The next Indiana Jones film in 2023 wiill have in it's title Indiana Jones and the ?????? (?????? = The rest of the title not officially reaveled yet)

Reason why the next film in 2023 will have in it's title Indiana Jones and the is so it matches the other previous films that have Indiana Jones and the
Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
