Maybe right as I've just received a dispatch email from Zavvi...on a Sunday.Emails from Zavvi can lag behind and the item just turns up unexpectedly, whether this is the case for this i dunno.
I just got delivery Jaws 3 is a rigid slipcase aka slipboxIt isn't rigid. It's just an "improved lenticular slipcase", if you look at the BS. It is improved tbf, bit more sturdy and the flappy spine is gone.
It isn't a rigid slip paul. I know, I've had it for a week now.I just got delivery Jaws 3 is a rigid slipcase aka slipbox
Jaws 3 is a Rigid SlipboxIt isn't a rigid slip paul. I know, I've had it for a week now.
It's essentially the same as the jaws 1 & 2 slips (and megan, and duel), except the spine end is fully sealed and enclosed now, vs the flap that was there previously.
This makes it feel more sturdy, but it's still the same double walled, light glossy card slip it was before. Which is not rigid, aka hannibal, atomic blonde, hard target etc...
You're wrong paul. It's "improved", yes. More sturdy, sure, but there's very little difference between it and Jaws 2. I'm holding them both now. It's not one of Universal's actual "rigid" slips.Jaws 3 is a Rigid Slipbox
It's not same as duel as that was a soft slipbox
It's also not the same as jaws 1 as that was also a soft slipbox used with the Zavvi SteelBook Exclusive and HMV Exclusive Cine Edition
Rigid means hard not flexible and that is what Jaws 3 slip is and that's why it's sturdyYou're wrong paul. It's "improved", yes. More sturdy, sure, but there's very little difference between it and Jaws 2. I'm holding them both now. It's not one of Universal's actual "rigid" slips.
I have this in hand and it's better that the first Jaws/Duel slips, much more sturdy, but in no way is it a proper rigid case as the card is not thick enough, it's simply not in the same league as the Exorcist Boxsets for example (i have this here with me now) or in fact the usual WB Boxsets / Second Sight / Arrow etc....Rigid means hard not flexible and that is what Jaws 3 slip is and that's why it's sturdy
It's not same as the jaws 1 and megan and duel as they used soft cardboard flexible slipcases
There is different types of rigid Slips that can vary in regards to thickness of each slip and can also vary due to amount of contents included.I have this in hand and it's better that the first Jaws/Duel slips, much more sturdy, but in no way is it a proper rigid case as the card is not thick enough, it's simply not in the same league as the Exorcist Boxsets for example (i have this here with me now) or in fact the usual WB Boxsets/ Arrow etc....
No I won't as it is a rigid slipPaul stop trying to use broad excuses to argue the technicality of your point. It is not one of Universal's rigid slips. End of.
Yep, exactly this. Paul is just reeling off the collins definition of the word rigid, and repeating it again, and again, and again lolI have this in hand and it's better that the first Jaws/Duel slips, much more sturdy, but in no way is it a proper rigid case as the card is not thick enough, it's simply not in the same league as the Exorcist Boxsets for example (i have this here with me now) or in fact the usual WB Boxsets / Second Sight / Arrow etc....
It's robotic to adhere to the dictionary is a wild lineYep, exactly this. Paul is just reeling off the collins definition of the word rigid, and repeating it again, and again, and again lol
Jaws 2 is the same type of slip paul, and I've compared the 2 in hand today. 3 has a better design, but that's about it.No I won't as it is a rigid slip
It's a hard stiff and not flexible that is what a rigid means
You compared it Jaws 1 and megan and duel those yes was not rigid as they soft cardboard slips that was easy to bend flex and get creased
Jaws 3 slip is not in anyway the same as those 3 releases
I'd be more worried about the poor restoration i have been hearing of this title as the reviews have been coming in over the past few days.Rigid, soft rigid, hard stiff, fnar fnar !
Are you sure you two didn't write for Viz back in the 90's ?
Thanks for the heads up.Back on Amazon...
