Genuinely never expected this to sell out at all three major retailers.Didn't think this would sell out and tried to pre order with amazon last week. Was still listed for pre order but wouldn't let me confirm, stating item is no longer available. It completely sold out on zavvi and hmv too.
Passed a hmv store yesterday and they had 0 stock allocated to them and suggested they had received no pre orders either.
It was for my girlfriend as she loves the movies and the show. Being aware of all this, somehow she managed to stick an order in around 5pm yesterday on amazon. When I looked it was gone again. Dispatched and should be here Friday.
May have missed a thread but my mind is blown the last post here is 3rd July considering the drama I've had trying to get this.
There's always the US version and with a few discounts it's slightly cheaper.Genuinely never expected this to sell out at all three major retailers.
Oh I've got mine, I preordered "just because" and thought about cancelling a few times but never got round to it. Kinda glad I didn't now. There's always the US version and with a few discounts it's slightly cheaper.
Thanks for the heads up ordered. If anyone missed this in the UK, You can order it from Amazon France, works out at £24.
Looks like Knuckles whacked it personally.Just another heads up, my copy arrived today bent as hell. But amazon have ordered me a replacement free of charge.

I actually managed to fix it up a bit, It still has a dent but not as bad compared to when i opened but i have noticed with cex that they will give full price value for even a damaged steelbook.CEX took something that dented?
Don't you feel bad some online buyer is going to end up with a bonked up steelbook at some point?
Granted, they can always take it back, but still.
CEX are total sh*tsack Muppets for accepting that.
Plenty of CEX stores have their steelbooks on the shop floor and they end up in quite rough condition so if bent back into shape it probably isn't all that bad (relatively speaking), a lot seem to stick steelbooks behind the counter now but it's always a gamble ordering from them. I think if you're not prepared to deal with accepting or returning a poor condition copy you shouldn't touch CEX, it is what it is and I'm glad to at least have the option.CEX took something that dented?

Agreed, I never order steelbooks online from them, I have only ever purchased one in store and thats because it was in great condition.I almost never buy online. I think I've done it once. Have to see it in hand. At the very least I think CEX should have images and quality descriptions online. Especially for the newer or more valuable older titles.
I went to view a £60 Once Upon a Time in America steel in a store a little further than usual and it looked like it'd been used as a skateboard. They wanted full store asking price. I offered them £10 instead and the guy thought I was joking. A lot of stores don't have any quality control, some do; unfortunately because you don't know what store your online purchase copy is coming from it's a total lottery.
They should sort that out. They won't ever though.
It's BS really as limited collectibles should be sorted and priced according to their degree of condition.
