I wish I never watched Terrifier. It was so low-budget with awful acting and production value. The makeup effects were good, but they were also overly disgusting. There was no value of enjoyment while watching it.
Yeah agree with everything that you are saying with this, I just didn’t enjoy watching it either and I’m quite fond of a low budget horror if done correctly. I’ll sit through most films once just to give them a go but after about 30/40 mins this was very much on the verge of getting turned off, only reason that it didn’t was that it was late and I couldn’t be arsed to find something else to watch :thumbs:

I think they just tried to go for the shock than anything else.

I quite liked the character, again if done correctly and not just over the top gore but that was about it far too over the top for me in places no real story line and personally I can’t believe that this got the green light for a second :spoil::rofl:

Strange, bizzare American/Canadian Co-Production from the 70s about a group of doctors/medics making an adventure trip into the canadian backwoods and get hunted by a creepy figure playing psychological games and doing strange rituals, what more and more decimates the group and leads it into a downward spiral with no end in sight.

I liked the atmospheric filming and the adding of dramatic elements, what makes it no typical Backwood Slasher. The tempo is slow and the movie has some very nice filmings of canadian landscapes, that are well chosen and also underline the psychological horror (begins in typical canadian landscape and later the sights change to the human-destroyed ones). Sometimes it reminded me of the Blair Witch movie and it has a touch of The Burning. Definitely worth a watch. 8/10

I had never heard of this film before your post. Looks like something I might need to check out.

Just realised Hal Holbrook died last week also......

Not quite a horror movie purchase, but definitely counts as a horror purchase.
Writer/director/star Josh Ruben has been selling Scare Me script books on Twitter recently but only to US addresses.
I tweeted on my birthday that it'd make the day even better if he opened up international shipping, not thinking I'd get a response or anything.

I did. He sent me a link to grab one, which I did, & he covered the cost of shipping to Ireland. It turned up today with this awesome little (birthday) message with it.
I know other's have gotten these already but this was a cool little exchange with the guy responsible for one of my favorite movies of 2020.

He's such a great guy! I bought one of those, too, and he sent me a little note as well. I loved this movie. Such an original take on horror anthologies.

Happy (belated) Birthday!!
