it's too bad , but I'm really disappointed because I did not bought the Fullslip "Cine Museum" .... now prices are too high !
Prices were too expensive for that in the first place! Lol I wish I hadn't bought it tbh, as this will likely be superior (or at least the steel will be), and will be half the price.

I don't think they will. Uni have been consistent with the 2K print run on these collector's editions for a while now.
Unlikely they won't increase the run at some point within the next few waves imo. Just depends if you see this as delayed or part of the next wave. They've tested the waters & created a good product with the last 2 waves... I think they'll look to increase when they decide to elevate the movie quality (admittedly that could be further down the line) but they'll also recognise a film like Last Night in Soho is particularly liked in the collecting community. Just my hunch they choose to increase with this....

or maybe even Twister...

I wouldn't hold your breath. Uni are likely set to hand over UK distribution to Elevation next year, given the looming end of their distribution deal with WB. So there's no telling if these sets will continue at all, let alone increase. Wait and see.

Agreed on continuing beyond next year. Alas...
next few waves

I think even more likely they increase with regards to that point. Cashing out.

I guess it depends on what Elevation are willing/able to do. They don't do sets like this on the regular for anyone else, so I fear it may be dead in the water. We'll have to wait and see.

Uni have had a mass reshuffle, including the department that design these, so there's no telling if there will be anyone left to facilitate them. Which would explain why they're pumping them out like mad now, while they can. Hopefully not, but who knows

Yeah I have to admit that does seem like the reason why they are pumping these out

Which will be a shame too because they have actively listened to feedback and improved these over the past few years. Just look how well received atomic blonde, kong and Northman have been. Time will tell

I am hoping it gets worked out for the better bud. Feels like they finally starting to get it so it'd be unlucky from collectors pov. Personally, I feel outside of the premiums from Manta etc. these are fast becoming my favourite retail editions. I'm so looking forward to all of them! We can only hope they continue but yes saviour them whilst you still can I guess.

Massive shame, agreed. They've really developed the "brand", if you like. Yep, that was my gut instinct when they all popped up at once, but I'll be very happy to be wrong.

Popularity and success of these sets aside, in reality they're just a tiny part in whole distribution wing, so I get it. Pretty much all studios are struggling/restructuring physical distribution, so there's evidently a wider issue.

Sorry to but in on an unrelated thread but how do you contact elevation sales in the uk as I want to get some answers regarding the shocking Andor disc problem. It seems impossible to get a scratch or glitch free set. The small print email address on the back just gets “blocked” when I try to send a message.

Oh dear It's almost like stacking 3 discs is a bad idea. I feel for you bud... mines on the way for my birthday and I'm dreading the discs not working; the more stories like yours I hear.. not necessarily for myself but the other half being dissapointed, as it's a gift from them.

Funny thing is I keep getting a mint steelbook. Art cards will always have the hub dents because of them being squeezed in but who cares about them anyway. The circular scratches are like they’ve been spun into the case on some kind of machine. I always assumed they’d be put in by hand. I know the steelbook is nice and better than the US one but no point in having this if you can’t play it properly. £50! The blu ray sets are scratched too. Anyway good luck with yours.

Lots of speculation on this thread and lots of uncertainty but as the guy at Universal who does these I CAN tell you that LNIS will be pre-ordering and released this year. Keep the faith!
Any way to stop those little scalping buttholes from gobbling up all the units?
I guess it's down to the retailers to seriously sort it out and not the creative distribution team, but Hell! if it's not annoying.
King Kong was a disaster for sole collectors.

I suspect LNIS will be even worse.

Tbf Northman was instantly 1 per order with HMV as opposed to King Kong where it didn't start like that. Definitely was needed more for the latter mind.... & you've got to be Irish to order from Amazon, so they're doing their best to gatekeep from most people I guess.

Oh, then can you let us know if your team will continue working on these for the foreseeable future? Till 2030 at least? :D

The only info I have seen in the news about a restructure is in regards to UMG aka Universal Music Group

UMG is not the same business or company to Universal Pictures (aka Universal Studios)

Is it true zavvi had over a 1,000 units for King Kong? Because that whole release is a mess and lots of people have missed out. And on top amazon has been buggy and not allowing people in the U.K. to order which switches between 3 different notifications etc one of which was “not available to order to your address” when I’m in the U.K.

Zavvi don’t update cancelled orders until after release whilst HMV put them up as they get cancelled or whatever reason. Honestly, it should be split between the 3 retailers however I do believe most like ordering from HMV now and it’s sad to hear that zavvi got the majority of the print run (if true)
