And that's all there is. Plus a couple of people on my forum, and another dozen on 'the other forum'... oh, and those happy-happy freak-zombies from that other other forum with the Chinese bootlegs.

Yesterday a courier delivered one of my freight forwarded huge boxes - they usually contain 30+ titles $600+ worth, and while I was filling out a ridiculous backwards proof of receipt form, straight from the 90's Brazil world, I told him how hard it is to get these packages lately, with the war and sanctions and all, and he just shrugged - 'why don't you use torrents'... I keep forgetting that we're 'special' and most people don't give a damn, or two cents, for these precious editions of ours...

Yeah baby.
Special like this.

That depressing moment when I bring someone back and they question why I have so many films and why so many are repeated and I explain that I have Avengers Age of Ultron 8 times and each copy was over £50 quid each and some were a bloodbath to get…. They look at me weird, seem very confused and leave….. cheers Age of Ultron

Do you anticipate a possible bloodbath for it on release date so i can go straight to Italy and hope to snag one ?

King Kong did £500 mill plus at box office and was Universals 4th largest movie of all time on the back of it's release. It also had 20 years for people to realise it is actually a very good film... it just wasn't LOTR level they were expecting. Kong definitely not in the same conversation as Atomic Blonde/The Northman and I wasn't the least bit surprised to see it fly.

Atomic Blonde took a week to sell out on Amazon. Copies are back available now but only because Amazon are terrible. Northman will be the same in due course I'm fairly sure. I have a hunch a few of the scalpers who did their bollocks on them, will be returning them soon.

Soho will be as popular as kong trust me

I think @Flloydo and others are on the money with thinking that Soho will be popular. It's a bit of an anomaly of being sought after, on the basis it is highly popular in the collecting world, and I think that'll be enough for scalpers to dive in again. Will that be enough to see it match Kong? I think it'll run it closer than the other two definitely. Maybe the extra 500 copies means it won't go quicker, or maybe between Amazon's non existent stock & Zavvi selling in bulk to scalpers, it will go lightening quick. Both of whom are the original
greedy little piggies
In this story.

Ultimately
go straight to Italy
...do not pass go, do not collect 200 copies.

And avoid said bloodbath

As a fellow collector even I'd look at you weird

As for how popular this release will be... the previous steelbook sold out pretty quickly. Even the HMV exclusive amaray with slip didn't stay around for long iirc.
Really hoping I get in before the scalpers on this 1 , looks absolutely stunning and absolutely love this film. Hopefully the scalpers are learning that it's not as lucrative as it once was by the time you take off the fees etc.

Once the pre-order date/time has been announced, just make sure you're there at least 30mins before (they tend to put them up earlier than specified) and you should hopefully be fine.
