All of these in US have been separate, either UHD or BD only, no stacked crap like in Europe.
This batch just ditched the BD versions, rightfully so.
I remember the days when Steelbooks were the premium packaging, would have Blu-ray, DVD, 3d and a digital code. They'd come in gloss with embossing/debossing. And they we affordable. They could only have been topped if they had included laser discs
Now prices are overinflated or expensive, don't even include most of the formats, e.g., laser discs, streaky matte, flat, and the art isn't inspiring either. Such an inverse of quality vs product cost. At this rate it may all as well go
discless media...
Now, that may be a good idea, the physical disc collector going discless, what an oxymoron.
And the only word that resonated with me was
stacked. That was the last thing on my mind.
Yes I exaggerate, but perhaps there is a point in there somewhere, I assume it's like being given the best drugs to get you hooked, then every visit afterwards you get more ajax spliced in
FYI, I didn't collect from the beginning, so my argument is certainly flawed. Suicide Squad from HDZ was my first OC. I have real fond memories of securing Captain America: Winter Soldier too.
