This Fall, Joss Whedon will once again have a series on network television. "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.LD." pilot was ordered by ABC last August, and now various sources including Entertainment Weekly, IGN and SitcomcsOnline are reporting that ABC has all but publicly confirmed the pilot has been picked up to series.

Directed by "The Avengers" helmer Whedon and co-written by Whedon along with "Dollhouse" veterans Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen, the series spins out of the events of "The Avengers" and stars Clark Gregg, returning to his fan-favorite role as Agent Phil Coulson, and Marvel Universe newcomers Brett Dalton, Ming-Na-Wen, Iain De Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge and Chloe Bennet.

I somewhat gave up on AoS during season 5 when they went into the whole future space thing. It kind of lost me (I just got behind on it and decided not to catch up).

BUT I jumped back in on season 7 and gave it a shot. I'm totally LOVING it.

I really hope they stay in this time period for a while and tie up those lose ends that the Peggy Carter series left open.
How are you feeling about it so far @IRON MAN @bloodsnake007 @Noodles?

So you didn't watch season 6? You should if you haven't because although it's not the best (5 and 6 are my least favs), it explains things leading into 7. I'm loving it. A return to form.

I haven't seen half of 5 and all of 6...

But I watched a recap thing that was somewhat good enough for me.
I may go back and watch them yet... we'll see. :)
 
This is probably up there for me as being top 5 favorite TV shows so I would love them to finish the steelbooks AND a really cool boxset. Dream boxset would be shield logo (like season 1 steelbook) on black magnetic box (like the extended edition LOTR boxset) and then each season has their own Digipack inside. Probably never happen but it would be so cool!
