I'll be there! Really enjoyed last year and the inclusion of the Holiday Inn hall will be welcome too.

Were tickets sold out last year? And what are the chances of being able to purchase posters that have been sold out through mondotees.com at Mondo Con? Still debating if I should attend or not, since I don't live in Texas and most likely I will have to take several days off work to attend.

To my knowledge and recollection Mondo themselves did not sell sold out posters. But some of the artists actually did, actually quite a few. I would HIGHLY suspect that to happen again to some extent.

I dont think tickets sold out last year, but they probably should have ... it was too small a venue for the amount of people. Tho with the added space this year it'll be spread out enough that I think it could accommodate much better.

It would be a worthy vacation. Lots to do in Austin too and (I used to live there) you're close enough to down town to take in the famous "6th Street" which has been featured on many television shows. It's bars and clubs, and night life and live music for like an entire street. You could forget a rental car, cab airport to hotel take in all the event you want then cab to 6th street and check that out at night.

Plus there might be a Hi-Def Ninja get together planned Saturday Night. :wow:....:naughty:

OK found out it's Oct 3-4 and a 2-day ticket is $90. I think my Aunt lives between San Antonio and Austin so I would probably have a place to stay too. I'm going to say yes, that I'll make it this year. It's far enough off that I can plan for that weekend off.

Yeah I thought about continuing discussion there. But since this con features so many artists whose prints are covered in this area just felt better here.

@Wreck Thanks for the reply Wreck, I greatly appreciate it! In that case, I need to start planning for the trip even though it's more than 4 months away. Would be a great trip to finally visit Austin, TX and my cousins who are living in Houston. It's unfortunate Tyler Stout is not confirmed to be there, would've made the the decision a lot easier (I need to get some of his rare posters!).

@Exquisik Yeah man make a vacation out of it. Austin to Houston is only like 3 hour drive. Austin to San Antonio is like 1 hour 45 mins ... So there's plenty to do in all directions.
