Well as it's looking I'm getting bored with everything and I'm not working now due to certain medical conditions and needed something to occupy my time otherwise I'd go stir crazy. I've decided to get back into painting miniatures, not so much for gaming though, more or less just for the painting aspect of it. Although the miniatures I used to paint way back in my 20's were pewter and very small and so far the ones I've been painting lately have been quite large. As I progress through each figure that I'm painting I'll show you all my progress, sort of a glimpse of what's to come. So without further ado let's get crackin'. :)

Here's some examples of what I'll be painting.

I'm gonna change it up a bit so I don't burn out. Some Star Wars models are planned out and my next model will be Bandai's AT-ST.

Yes, Yes, Yes. I did some data entry work for a friend on his web store and earned a bunch of money. Bought Bandai's Perfect Grade 1/72 scale Millennium Falcon which set me back a whopping $400. It's HUGE! A little unboxing I did.

This one is supposed to take anywhere from 5 months to a year to get everything right on it so I'll probably second hand some other models in the process.

I plan on doing a killer diorama for the AT-ST but the Falcon is too big, it'll just be on it's own without anything else.

Completed a couple of small figures, just trying to do something while I wait for supplies to start my Star Wars projects. This first one is called the Knight of Shrouds and the second one I'm sure you all know who he is. Yeah the varnish I put on him was a matte varnish but in the pictures it looks almost like satin varnish so I've ordered some different kind.

Ok, here my Star Wars AT-ST and diorama. I put a lot of effort into this, those trees, each and every branch was meticulously added one by one to the trunks. I had to awl out the tiny holes and glue each one into place. The muddy pond was a resin pour and it encapsulated the tree trunk into place. Then added the grass, forest debris, bushes trees, flowers, ferns, everything was planned out, even the moss on the log and the rock was specifically added. What's an AT-ST without Chewy at the top. That whole thing was painted then varnished and then heavily weathered to make it look like it had been walking the forest for a while.

Next on the agenda I'll stay on the planet Endor and paint up some speeder bikes with troopers and of coarse another diorama as well. After that a Tie Fighter with fiber optics. Don't think I forgot about the Millennium Falcon, it's just on the side being worked on it's just a long thought out model that's going to take a very long time.

Hahaha, I hadn't mate. I've had quite a lot of family stuff going on so have been away for awhile

Looks bloody brilliant mate, as usual, these dioramas that you created are really something else :notworthy::D
Have you started on the Falcon yet?
No not yet, there's a bunch of stuff I need to get for it first. Thanks for the kind words on the AT-ST. Now I'm working on a couple of speeder bikes with troopers on Endor where there racing through the forest. Should be a fun build. After that a Tie Fighter. :thanks:
