Turbine Medien is going to release The Frighteners on 4K again next week in three limited mediabooks (cover a, b, c 666 copies each) and a full slip edition.

The 3-disc-set contains:
- 4K UHD Director´s Cut
- 4K UHD Theatrical Version
- Bonus Blu-ray

They're doing a slipcase and Amaray version with the Type C art.
I'm liking that one. Missed the steelbook like a dic so I'm down for the slipcase version methinks.
Mediabooks don't tickle my man bags enough to make me excited.

The Frighteners are there!

So far, I had the Ultimate Box and the steelbook by Turbine (as well as the old Blu-ray and the 4-DVD-SEE-Digipak from Universal), but I didn't have this one artwork that is on Mediabook C. Until now.

The German age rating is on a removable sticker.

Removing the shrinkwrap. The title and billing are English-friendly.

The back also contains a nice artwork.

Here a detailed photo of the mediabook finish: it has linen structure and a flat finish.

The tech sheet is of course separate.

Now for the interior.

So, und jetzt geht's ans Eingemachte.

Both trays are designed in the style of the Fairwater Gazette.

A couple of pages from the (German) booklet. I haven't compared it with the book from the Ultimate set yet, which had approximately 4x the number of pages.

The discs are as they were before. The movie is only in 4K UHD (theatrical + director's cut), the bonus features are on a separate disc.
