I guess Black Mirror just isn't my cup of tea... overall I've seen about half a dozen episodes and they've all been incredibly average, so I decided to skip to the episode that's considered the best (San Junipero), and it wasn't really any better IMO. Doubt I'll bother watching any more to be honest.

Well, my previous post made it pretty clear that I'd decided I wasn't a fan of Black Mirror, nor am I really a fan of Star Trek... and yet, I bloody loved this episode!

Started Dark Shadows on Amazon. First nine episodes in.....to the 40 EPISODE first season! It's good, and takes the subject matter seriously, but the size is daunting.

I just saw the first season of Futurama again. It is interesting to see how the parody shifts into a more mindless humor. But it is great overall. Im hyped to see everything again after so many years.

Astounded.
Truly blown away.
Every second of this show was riveting, beautiful- and to place it on calibre of other TV shows is grossly underestimating the level of quality that this series is made with.

Murder She Wrote Season 1.

Purchased the blu-ray of this the other week and boy it's held up well. Most of the episodes are excellent and I think there was only one episode I didn't like. A lot of the time you don't see the punchline but no real surprise there when you consider that it was created by the same person who created the Peter Falk Columbo...... Strangely enough not a show I seen on it's original run back in the 80's....... Overall a mixture of very good to excellent episodes with just one dud episode in my opinion. A word of warning. The picture quality is simply superb. It's not just a step up from the DVD but a quantum leap......

Murder She Wrote Season 2.

Just finished watching all 22 episodes on blu-ray over the past two weeks. Every episode excellent. My favourite of this season is Jessica having to do Jury Service with a twist you don't see coming. A very very grim episode. And that's what catches you out. Not surprising when you consider all this comes from the creators of Columbo....

Just finished watching the season 1 release by Fabulous films. A superb show. What the blu-ray does is expand the scenery in the show. The outdoor scenes really come alive and you get the feel of just how big America is. Looking at the roads and shops and even Las Vagas is a revelation in detail and a look into a world long gone. The scripts are sharp and the characters great. I'm probably going to get slatted for this comment. I generally believe modern TV is dire in the story and scripting department and it's shows like The Rockford Files that remind me how utterly dire modern TV has become. (Getting the riot shield for all the flack about to head my way!)

I don't usually bother watching shows that were cancelled after a few episodes but I like Craig Robinson and Adam Scott so thought I'd give it a try. Not a great show but it was continually improving and introduced some interesting ideas towards the end, don't know why it wasn't given a chance with shortened second season with the possibility of an extension, plenty of shows struggle to find the right formula in the first season, especially comedies.

Hard not to compare it to SoA, definitely not as good as their first season but shows a lot of promise. I kind of wish they'd distanced themselves from Sons a bit more though.
