4k was what make me bite but I have to admit that 80 page booklet sounds great. I really hope we get the 4k restoration for The Thing from Arrow which Universal never used. 4 gems from Arrow in one day in 4k. I'm a happy camper.... That plus Alligator announced last week from Shout, it's going to ba a great 2022 for 4k

Lazy 4k releases of both this and AWIL.
Should have used different art for these in my opinion

Sweet! I will slide this into my old arrow ltd box. Hopefully there will be no need for replacement disc!
I will also put the 4K steel in my old limited edition since there is no difference. I guess Arrow will make multiple, identical reprints with a 4K disc. They also reprinted the An American Werewold in London limited edition amaray with a 4K disc. Will The Thing be next?

So the play is basically to just get the one you don’t have to go with the set you do have (for me the 4K LE since I have the BD SB), right?

I was about to place my order, glad to see this film again since so much time... then my attentionm got caught by the release date...
:(

Only change my eyes can see is that the 4k UHD edition has a new MGM font/logo on the spine and no FCDxxxx

USA release date has changed to April 12th

UK release is still March 28th

When Arrow do UK and USA titles they are seperate releases

Zavvi USA is selling the USA release

If you want UK edition use Zavvi UK or from other Zavvi international websites

When it comes to Arrow Video releases Zavvi USA sells USA release if Arrow has done both UK and USA title release

The previous one was only spot glossed or not? It´s a nice upgrade :wow:
Previous was gloss finish on majority of the steelbook It's was not just spot gloss
I'm looking at that steelbook

Front had part of car not gloss but rest of the front of steelbook was gloss
Back was full gloss

This reprint does not have the same finish as the previous one. They're actually complete opposites. I have them both in hand.

Old, everything is glossy except robocop and car on the front.

New, everything is matte except robocop and car on the front.

The steelbook in that video above looks like it's fully glossed on the front. The back doesn't exactly look glossy though.

So which release would that be?
