There’s a good chance a 4K release will happen. The latest Blu-ray was mastered in 4K so I can see a 4K release coming out at some point. Hopefully they would remaster the sound but it all depends on the studio.

Great - let's hope there is a good quality 4K steel when it is released. Often 4K films have better sound than 1080p discs even when studio keeps the same sound track - e.g. most of the Nolan films only use DTS-HD Master Audio or Dolby True HD when they are released in 4K but soundtrack seems improved... well to my ears anyway!

Hopefully there will be! There’s definatly a difference, especially if you have a nice sound system. I’m not sure if it’s down to less compression but a lot of discs can sound better.:)

True I wondered if it is due to compression on discs. And I am lucky to have a 5.1.4 setup and love watching films with Atmos or DTS:X... even DD 5.1 + Neural X sounds fantastic!

Sounds like you have an awesome set up there! I don’t have Dolby Atmos yet but I believe it sounds fantastic!

Cancelling my pre-order and will be getting it in store on Friday

Yeah was thinking exactly that , the store I use is only a small one so not sure on how good that are at getting stock in on the day .

will still pop in and see:whistle:then if I manage to pick it up I’ll then cancel the pre-order.

Is the early release only for the special edition or does it include the steelbook?

If you ordered using HMV they will likely dispatch orders this Wednesday or Thursday

If you ordered using Zavvi likely the same Wednesday or Thursday this week

Amazon UK will charge debit cards from Friday/Saturday/Sunday with dispatch on any of those days

Hmv only mentioned the Slipbox Limited Edition
I don't know if they will have the steelbook on Friday

Price drop on Amz UK right now - £19.99 !
Nice! I just saw this and checked Amazon......it’s back up at £24.99. I would’ve been pissed but picked it up yesterday at HMV for the same price. They had (or still have?) a 20% off all blu ray sale. They had quite a few of the steelbooks as well.
