Shout Factory/Scream Factory pre orders from retailers in USA/Canada

Some of you may have noticed some Shout Factory/Scream Factory August/September/October/November pre orders not appearing on USA/Canada retailers like best buy/walmart/WowHD/Deep Discount etc recently

Shout Factory have put 3 week release date embargo on other USA retailers excluding Amazon from listing Shout factory/Scream factory for sale as in they can't list these for sale until 3 weeks after release date

There is a slight possibility Amazon USA and Amazon Canada will delay listing some shout factory november releases and later releases until after release date

Amazon was excluded from this embargo but have been very slow to list November release so far
Some november scream factory releases only got added today but not all november releases

The offset of this embargo with other USA/Canada retailers is amazon likely won't price match until the other retailers are selling and have reduced their prices

We just revealed more than 25 upcoming films in person at our Comic Con panel! The following are the exciting Blu-rays in progress and all the details we have at the moment.

 • THE ABOMINABLE SNOWMAN (1957) – Early ’50s chiller starring Peter Cushing (in his first film for Hammer Films). Expected release: November 2019.
 • BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA (1986) – The definitive release of one of John Carpenter’s biggest and most beloved films in a 2-disc set. To raise the stakes, we’ll be releasing a Collector’s Edition and a Steelbook™ (both with the same content) simultaneously on the same date. Expected release: November or December 2019.
 • BODY PARTS (1991) – After losing his arm in a car accident, a criminal psychologist has it replaced with a limb that belonged to a serial killer. Jeff Fahey (The Lawnmower Man) stars in Eric Red’s (Bad Moon) underrated flick. Expected Release: January 2020.
 • DR JEKYLL AND SISTER HYDE (1971) – This gender-bending excursion from Hammer Films is quite the trip! Ralph Bates stars in this thriller directed by Roy Ward Baker (The Vampire Lovers). Expected Release: December 2019.
 • DRACULA (1979) (Collector’s Edition) – John Badham’s slick and sophisticated telling of the legendary story flies into our midst in a 2-disc set. Includes a new transfer of the theatrical version as seen in theaters in 1979 with full color as well as the alternate director-approved version of the film created in 1991 for home video with a muted color palette. Expected Release: November 2019.
 • THE FAN (1981) – This often-overlooked ’80s slasher film (which originally came out in theaters the same month as The Burning, Friday the 13th Part 2, Graduation Day and Happy Birthday to Me) stars Michael Biehn (Aliens, The Terminator) who plays a deranged admirer who sets his sights on a leading actress (screen legend Lauren Bacall). Score by Pino Donaggio (Dressed to Kill). Expected Release: November 2019.
 • THE FLY COLLECTION (1958/1959/1965/1986/1989) – The insect-morphing franchise buzzes into town in a complete set that includes the original terrors The Fly (1958), Return of the Fly (1959), Curse of the Fly (1965) as well as the horrifying reboots The Fly (1986) and The Fly II (1989). We’re setting this packaging up just like we did recently for Critters and The Omen collections (Rigid slipcase, individual cases). Expected Release: December 2019.
 • LET’S SCARE JESSICA TO DEATH (1971) – This creepy, atmospheric and very underrated psychological cult classic from the early ’70s makes its long-awaited Blu-ray format debut! Expected Release: January 2020.
 • MY BLOODY VALENTINE (1981) (Collector’s Edition) – Don’t have a heart attack but “Harry Warden” is back!! ❤ The original ’80s slasher film receives more love and attention from us with a planned 2-Disc set. Expected Release: Feb 2020 — before Valentine’s Day.
 • PET SEMATARY II (1992) (Collector’s Edition) – Mary Lambert’s entertaining follow up to her 1989 original film based on the Stephen King novel stars Edward Furlong (Brainscan), Anthony Edwards (Revenge of the Nerds) and Clancy Brown (The Shawshank Redemption). Expected Release: February 2020.
 • PROPHECY (1979) – Writer David Seltzer (The Omen) and Director John Frankenheimer (The Manchurian Candidate) spin a monstrous yarn about the dangers of environmental pollution in the deep woods of Maine. So I’m VERY excited to hear that Shout is bringing over Kamen Rider. But I SWEAR TO GOD, I will be SO MAD if they release these in DVD and not source the pre-existing Blu-Ray transfers of these episodes.

... would riot.

Question about ordering direct from the Shout site, if you put in an order for a couple of movies do they tend to ship all in one box or ship separately?
I’m trying to weigh up the best place to order from that won’t cost an arm & a leg in shipping to Ireland. I’ve tried WOWhd but they don’t have what I’m after unfortunately.
I can get something shipped to a forwarding address but it’s 15.99 per parcel that comes so if they ship all separately I’d get roasted in fees.

Shout Website
If your order contains both in stock items and pre-orders, the in stock items will ship first, and the pre-orders will ship as they become available.

Just put in an order for my first Scream Factory titles. Got Idle Hands, Trick 'R Treat, The Lawnmower Man, Sleepaway Camp, as well as The Wizard & Freaks & Geeks collectors edition on the Shout side.

I’ve posted this in the “searching for X slipcover” thread but may as well post it here too:

I've recently gone to the dark side & become Region Free. Mainly cos of the stellar stuff that Shout & Scream Factory have been releasing.
I've gotten some stuff so far; Idle Hands, The Craft, Trick 'R Treat, Thirteen Ghosts, Sleepaway Camp, The Lawnmower Man & Haunting of Hill House.
The first 4 came with slips, Sleepaway & Lawnmower Man didn't which I expected, but Hill House also came slipless even though its apparently still available with a slip.
I've only been ordering from Amazon & I'm now weary of ordering anything else.

I was wondering would anyone be able to help me secure a couple of other releases that could still have slipcovers?
I know the slips are limited & a lot of my wishlist are too old to still have slips but there's a couple of releases out there that could/should potentially still have em.

Slipcover only guaranteed for first 3 months after release date with scream factory collectors editions
Other USA distributors releases it can be only first pressings you get a slipcover included and can happen not have any even a few weeks after release date with some other distributors releases.

A retailer may have some stock from that initial batch of stock that came with a slip but then reordered from distributors and got stock without a slip

When it's scream factory release If you want be sure to get a slip pre order or order shortly after release date as in before 3 month timeline.

You can get lucky sometimes order years after release and still receive a release with a slip but will depend on if the retailer has stock leftover from initial first pressing.

Ebay can be best way to get a release long after release with a slip if seller listing shows includes the slip and is in hand photo of item for sale.

Haunting of Hill House was released in october 2019 so very unlikey all stock now with retailers would include a slip but you can get lucky sometimes when you order as in some stock at retailer warehouse has a slip and some don't.

Sorry @paulboland, I should have tagged you. Haha. See my post above.
@YellowKing777
Sorry for late reply
I not been creating threads as much as I used to in scream factory forum section

I mostly been creating threads for scream releases in the limited editions forum and slipcover forum instead lately.
