Just generally, if you want a "good" price, you have to put the work in - either be out there researching auctions, or watching discussion threads, using google...

I've just never got this idea of "I want to be lazy and have someone hand me this collectible at a lower price, but not acknowledge that I came late to the party and have just now decided I need to get this..."
