The remake was announced

I thought they had given up on the idea of a new Splinter cell game.

So this then is excellent news, love the franchise and would love to see a new game.

I just hope that they also produce new game! It's great to see new, even if it's remake, announcement.
Also good tjing is bunc of developers who worked on original will work on this one!

I've played all the Splinter Cell's and finished them so this will be a game I definitely get. Very anxious to see some revealing gameplay to determine if it'll be any good or not.
