@paulboland do you know if arrow is planning on releasing inferno in a 4k limited edition? iirc theyve only done a bluray steelbook like 10 years ago, so its time for a nice new 4k scan + limited edition/steelbook

Unlikely to happen at the moment in UK since Fox was taken over by Disney
Inferno 1980 is a 20th Century Fox release
UK rights
now with Disney (20th Century Studios) and I be surprised if they issue a new licence to other labels as they not done this with the fox back catalouge films since Disney has taken over
If Disney start to licence out the Fox back catalouge then it might be possible

Previous arrow video Blu-ray 2010/2013/2014 was a release licened from Fox
That licence expired a few years ago which is why the Blu-ray release no longer available from arrow but only available from third party sellers ebay ec
Those Arrow releases had Fox logo on the spine

Fran Simeoni Director of Arrow Films said in 2021 that a re-release of Inferno was impossible as Disney aren't doing any deals.

The international rights are with Disney

Even for a other countries USA where the rights not with disney they still would have to licence the negative from Disney to be in a position do a new 4K scan
USA Blue Underground have the rights but to do a 4K UHD release would require them getting permission to get hold of the negative from Disney for a 4K restoration
