Standard late stage Kevin Smith....maybe not quite as terrible as his last.....5 movies
It's kinda fantasy-autobiographical self-healing and self-important about Smith's young years (or rather 1 day), filmed in a theater he frequented as a teenager, and now bought for himself entirely - so that's like everyone's dream. It's not very good, but it's alright, especially if you have your own nostalgic memories to overlay.
It leads right into a nice tie-in surprise, which I won't spoil.

I have a bit of a soft spot for "Red State".....didn't mind Clerks 2 too much back in the day.... honestly, only Clerks, Chasing Amy and Jay & Silent Bob the cartoon were ever really good

I mean, did I enjoy Dogma when it came out? Sure.... but Jay's "acting", Chris Rock playing himself and Linda Fiorentino pretty much hating everybody she is on screen with - don't know if even a rubber poop monster could push it over the edge to make it an actual "good" movie, but it is the one I would most easily add to aboves' list

I LOVED Clerks - still do and would honestly say that the documentary about the making of the film, "The Snowball Effect", is the best thing ever connected to Kevin Smith - next to the first "An Evening with Kevin Smith" 2DVD!
