Tried refreshing the group buy page on the minute, and nothing happened till about 3 minutes in. Buy button was on, but PayPal screwed me, it seems. Just got it working, paid Aniv the shipping fees I owed, and was awaiting this GB, and then it denies payment.
Guess I'll try ordering direct.

Could PayPal deny payment if the stock was out, or it cannot 'know' that, if I'm already on their site, logged in and paying?

No, nothing wrong with PayPal, just used it to pay on Second Sight website, went fine.
I guess it did just run out of stock midway, and didn't charge me, giving an error as if the card is at fault.
Probably shouldn't have gone for the DL...
