I'm fine with this release, falls a little short of greatness but there's still a lot to like here. Back of the steelbook has a metallic reflection on the surface of the wall, slip case has that soft felt/rubber like material with spot gloss for the face on both sides, titles on the case are also spot gloss.

That looks really good. I think it would be a 10/10 if it had some embossing and debossing

I do rather like the steel, but not debossing the title is rather disappointing. So is not using either of the 2 main theatrical posters in the set other than on the poster... tad nonsensical.

I think I mentioned once before that if it was solely my decision, I'd absolutely max out on finishes every time.
This set was already extremely close to not happening at all due to the costs, so unfortunately no way we could have included additional emboss tooling and print uplift.

@Bob L'Eponge
Any sneak peak you can give us for 2025? :)
As they all seem to sell really well, the range will continue, won’t it?
Unfortunately Universal UK are moving to a licensing model from start 2025, so I won't be around to continue to build these.
I don't know exactly what they're planning to do but currently it doesn't look as though they will continue these UK led projects.
It's a real shame as I've absolutely loved working on them and trying to give the collectors something to be excited about.
It also doesn't mean they'll be no product, the LA based team will have some things coming through, some notable big anniversaries next year but I'm sure you'll be able to figure them out.

Hopefully you've enjoyed all the UK led editions we've fought so hard to build, we've really tried to get a more diverse range of titles out there (not just the same old heavy hitters) & build them to the highest spec possible.
Obviously there's no way we can compete with some of the boutique labels and their China based production pricing and different regs, so we've had to do it slightly differently & done as much as we could.

Was nice whilst it lasted I guess. Appreciate all the time and work you put in to them, it'll surely be missed!

That's the vibe I had from previous messages all but confirmed then. Sorry to hear that, which will be a sentiment that echoes around the vast majority of members here. Your input into these projects will undoubtedly be sorely missed.

Think that's it on the film side, we did some Walking Dead and Chucky bits for TV too.

Did you have It Came From Outer Space down, we did a short run of steel / Collector Edition on that.

Ah, yes, I missed It Came From Outer Space. Thanks for that!

Oh no, these sets are over! I've always preferred studio releases to those 'basement homemade' Chinese ones most are going crazy for (except for Blufans steelbooks, they're truly quality, but again, they're not made in China).

So I hope 'licensing model' means some 'boutique' labels like Eureka and Arrow will be able to make at least amaray+booklet+slip editions...
