Trailer was pretty dull. Just felt empty and lifeless. It didn't grab me and shout..."go and see me immediately!"

The visuals did look great though, I might add.

Just watched this and think the hate towards it is incredibly forced. Sure, it’s very predictable and MBB still isn’t main character material (wish Netflix would stop trying to force her on us), but it’s a bit of fun at least. Kinda reminded me of 80s action kids flicks like Goonies and ET etc. It’s certainly nothing amazing, but it’s also certainly nothing terrible imo.

A very fine retro sci-fi 'blockbuster' truly for all ages, that didn't quite have that '90's feeling', but is still entertaining throughout, with great music, and overall not worse than Ready Player One, with an excellent cast even in the smallest roles or cameos, like Colman Domingo and Holly Hunter.
So I don't understand why it wasn't rated higher or is more popular. I guess it's the streaming curse, and that kind of release type just devalues films.

For some reason, the usual hate tubers have taken it upon themselves to slaughter this film and their sheep following bleat their vitriol without watching it.

I enjoyed it, a fun movie, ideal for a Sunday afternoon and the effects were fantastic. Will is survive the rewatch test?
