Will they have any of the special features missing from the standard 4K release? I'm in if they do.
Titans of Cult have no involvement in the discs content
They just the do design of the SteelBook/Slip/Pin etc and then Scanavo make those items

Titans of Cult is a label from Scanavo the company that make steelbooks if you was not aware

The discs inside the steelbook will be the existing discs from Universal 2021 4K UHD+ Blu-ray releases
As in the existing 4K UHD disc and 2008 Blu-ray disc that was in Universal 2021 4K UHD release

Universal when they get delivery of the steelbook/Slip/Pin etc from Scanavo will then put inside the the steelbook their existing discs and then skrink wrap the release and ship to retailers

Titans of Cult will only decide a fillm title for a release as part of Titans of Cult label if there is already available a existing 4K UHD disc of that film from the film studio distributor
It don't matter if a previous release was a 4K UHD steelbook or 4K UHD amaray as long as a existing 4K UHD disc is available from Universal/Warner/MGM/Paramount if can be considered for a steelbook release desgined by Titans Of Cult

The same will apply to any other film studio distributors that later come part of Titans of Cult range of releases those distributors must have an existing 4K UHD disc available to use
As all Titans of Cult releases are films that already have had a 4K UHD disc available

If a new 4K UHD disc is later done by a distributor with new extras and got a general release it would be upto the distributor themselves if they decide to use a new 4K UHD disc or use a previous 4K UHD disc in a Titans of Cult release

At the moment iin regards to The Thing it's the existing discs from Universal as they not done a new different UHD release with new extras

I'm not surprised the creators of plastbook are doing these plastic protector boxes, but some might.
Still wish Ironpaks were the 'industry standard', or Viva Metal Cases.

Patch as in... not metal? Damn.
Between FilmArena's and [maybe, if it ever comes out, as a straight real edition] CineMuseum's sets, I'm starting to think I don't want this one anymore.

Did you really expect it to be metallic or even real Petri dish?

Well they did make metal pins, sometimes two for a release.
For the creators of steelbook they're using too much plastic. Then again, seeing how their steelbook is mostly plastic, with a flimsy plastic spine with a metallic sticker, maybe not.

I’m gona wait to see shots after release. I’m only interested in the steel anyway. PET slip design is fine but I hate those chunky PET cases they use like with the game of thrones magnet steels.

It will be available from so many places it will be easy to get after release

I have committed myself now to getting all the Titans if cult. I know they are not exactly premium. But I have to admit some of their actual steels are great. Like the Pacific Rim one with the silk screen printing really is gorgeous in the hand. If they just maintained their steelbook quality (looking at you casino royal) and did away with the plastic slips they would be much better thought of I think.

I guess I just have a weird loyalty thing when it comes to certain things, and it was the Mad Max titans that resparked my love of steelbooks. I guess because of that I have a soft spot for them.
