The 2009 BD is actually the one that is incorrect and this version is using 1.85:1

Zero finish but a missed opportunity for something special in full gloss - Willy Wanka, the oompa-loompas and the title embossed would've turned this from an OK steelbook to a good one

Frustrates the **** out of me, when they do a special edition and a steelbook and dont include the steelbook in the boxset. Not falling for that double dip attempt.

I still think it’s quite nice with bright colours and a half decent finish. It’s a great transfer too. Some scenes are cropped a little tighter but I think that has something to do with aspect ratios and making it fit the whole screen nearly. Nice grain structure throughout and great hdr. Colours for me were spot on with perfect skin tones whilst boosting primaries. The fizzy lifting scene is incredible compared to flat wishy washy blu ray. This is what UHD was made for.
