My best concert experience was also my first. The wife and I took in Jennifer Lopez's show in Las Vegas. We made a weekend out of it. We stayed at the Planet Hollywood Hotel (where the Jen was doing her residency). It was so nice being able to just walk down to the concert venue, gamble afterwards, and then stumble back to our room. I kept telling my wife that we needed to get dressed up for the show because...it's Vegas, but she was skeptical. So we get to the concert, she sees all the ladies in their party dresses & outfits and says: "You were right. Good thing we dressed up!". Jennifer put on an awesome show. Great band, great choreography and everyone was up and dancing nearly the whole show. Good times. :)

My favorite concert was David Bowie in NY Roseland Ballroom back in 2000. Private for fan club members only. It was an intimate and awesome show. He played so many great tunes for almost three hours, he must have played at least 25 songs. I remember getting a free shirt and poster cause i was a bowie.com member. good times.

Thanks for the giveaway!

The best experience was at the Lord of the Rings Concert Tour. It was not just a single moment that was "best". I was the whole show. I love these movies more then anything else! So seeing them on the big screen again and listen to the best movie score ever made played by a live orchestra was astounding!
Thanks for that great GA, bloodsnake!

One of my strangest concert experiences was seeing a british band called Little Angels with my mate (took him on his birthday), we were both enjoying the concert, well the fact that we hadn't realised how many girls were going to be there as well as how much we were drinking

So far not strange,

near the end of the concert I went for another beverage and ended up chatting to a couple of lasses, who I ended up with in the nearby ladies toilets "dancing" to the bands version of rocking all over the world!!

I've been to hundred of concerts over the years but there's one experience that I haven't told many about. :p

In my teens me and a friend often travelled from Lillehammer to Oslo to attend concerts and we often used to hang around the venue to meet the bands before their gig. I've met many bands including Metallica, Faith No More, Sepultura, Beastie Boys etc etc.

This day we were about to see Therapy?. We met them, talked to them for a good while and I got my Troublegum album on green vinyl signed. Problem was that we had to catch the last train back home and they got on stage unbeliavable late. So we had no other option to leave just before they started playing!!:LOL: This still bothers me big time to this day! And we didn't tell anybody that we actually missed them playing. When our friends asked us how they were we alsways said: they were awesome, absolutely killing it, haha!

Still got my signed album though! :oohyeah:

Thanks for the awesome giveaway guys!

Great giveaway guys :D
Best concert experience was a secret gig back in the early 90's at a (now closed) place called The Hummingbird in Birmingham, UK.
Tickets were for the Australian Doors + special guests who were in fact the headline act of the night, Nirvana :)
Right place at the right time for a top night with only around 3-400 fans :D

I've been to dozens of concerts over the years. My favorite ones are John Mayer in Amsterdam 2013, Editors in Amsterdam 2010 and a insane nostalgic comeback tour of Limp Bizkit in 2011 :). My worst and most painfull concert is the one i had tickets for but couldn't attend for obvious reasons... Michael Jackson at the O2 Arena in Londen, 2009 .

Favorite soundtrack is Magnolia!

Not really a good or bad experience, but the worst I felt was not being able to go to the Michael Jackson "This Is It" concert that never was.... Had even managed to get tickets to it! :(

i think i have seen thousands of concerts over the years, both as festival hopper and as a sound engineer. as i cannot pick out the "BEST" experience:
the worst experience for me was when i was doing the engineering for dr. peacock, somehow a big thing in the "frenchore" (hard techno subgenre) game. club was packed with +1000 people, hot, sticky and sweaty. anyway, 15 minutes before this main act was starting his set, the amps were constantly switching from "ok" to "overheat" from one minute to the next, one time the tops, one time subs left, one time bass right,... so most of the time parts of the p.a. was not playing and i could not figure out why, until the night was over - there was too much dust in the vents/ dirt filters... didn't think of it. at least not a single person was complaining, but for me it felt like one night in hell.

thanks for the giveaway!

My best concert experience was my first big concert: Eminem in SP- Brazil, 2010. The show was opened by N.E.R.D. and Marcelo D2 (one of, if not the biggest, rapper in Brazil). It was raining in buckets and it didn't make the show worse, but much better! It was added production value ahaha. Had a great time and I am very fond of the memories I made that night :)

Here is a video of that concert (not mine):
