yeah about that it’s no longer WB’s movie this is all HBO Max’s doing who invested 70million for Zack Snyder to complete his vision which will be an exclusive for their streaming format for now with no official confirmation for theatres or physical release in the near future. Emmerich, Hamada and other WB execs don’t want this to succeed as that would mean they would have to admit they failed remember they believe this is a cul-de-sac which is going nowhere so they are now dusting their hands as they no longer have any involvement. Will this get a physical release down the line yeah sure but that would either involve Jason Kilar to force some hands at WB but only after the sub and view count for HBO Max has ticked over the bean counter that meets their expectations. If all else fails atleast we’ve seen HBO originals get steelbook releases down the line once theve run their due course. So this is why I’m surprised this thread exists even if it is just a “possible” Manta Lab Exclusive.

Are you making my point for me? I don't understand how you acknowledge HBO is a part of the WB empire, let's call it, yet WB want it to fail because it's not canon? WTH, CEOs couldn't give 2 sh#ts if it's canon or not. They want to make some do-re-mi, and if the film is good, even better.

WB are at the bottom of the chain, never said anything to do with non canon if anything that’s the Josstice League which Directors and Fans have already written off as non canon. WB execs especially Emmerich and Hamada want this to fail that’s the cold hard truth about it, we wouldn’t be in the position today if it wasn’t for Warner Media and the RTSC movement.

judging by how quickly WW84 is being released on physical media which is the 22nd March for the U.K. (just 3 months after it went on HBO max) I expect this, Godzilla vs kong and mortal kombat to all be released by June/ July on physical media. Hopefully anyway

I initially thought the square looking trailer was just an enhancement/cropping so it could be viewed on various social platforms. Turns out the actual movie has been shot and will be displayed in this format - how do people feel about black bars down the left and right of the screen?...

Ehhmm.. Not a fan of it tbh. Don't think it fits that kind of movie, but his reasoning behind does have some logic in it. It kinda takes the immersiveness out of it I think. But we'll see, at least it's unique
