I've never counted the steelbooks only.. But I think I have around 140 metal editions between steels, viva metal boxes and metalpacks ;)

Viva is a different brand of metal cases manufacturer: http://www.viva-metalbox.com/main.htm ..
I think it became popular after Disney started to release their metal editions with them... But I'm not a "steel/iron/metal expert" as a collector because my focus is limited editions and box sets ;). So you could take more info about it with the ones that collect it in hardcore ways..
Btw: you can create your own tread using the button "new tread" in the "community collections" sub-forum..

Hi Sammy sorry in advance for posting pics on your thread :0)

Hi Serious

The are a little like steels but the tend to feel more plasticky and the have plastic showing on the spine and the side where you open them! As Sammy has said the seem to be released by Disney in Canada and USA! I have included some pics to show the difference between a steelbook and a Viva:

A viva on its own

I have put a steel on the left and a viva on the right of all three pics to give you a comparison!

I hope this helps?

Oh and Sammy, the Kings Speech looks excellent :0)

DVDs and BDs I've brought in my luggage from my England trip:

Sammy some more great additions - thanks for sharing the pics :)

Quick Q - what are the 'hartboxes'? Not heard of those before...

Thanks, my friend! :)

Quick A then.. LOL - Hartboxes, or hardboxes, are Germany/Austria/Switzerland releases in these plastic boxes that remind a VHS box... Usually limited to 11,22,33,66,100,111,222,333,500,666,1000,1500,2000 units and individually numbered.. The lowest the number, the valuable the edition :naughty:

Ohhh missed this one! Is it still possible to get that version of Pulp Fiction? It' looks fab :)
Hehe..That is a french release, so I'm betting you could easily find it at amazon france (I tried to put the link but it's not working.. but is just to type "pulp fiction coffret" at the search bar)
