Standard edition is not affected that still has a release date of May 31
I got email today from Mutant
This is what was in the email.
WONKA: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack - Neil Hannon and Joby Talbot: Vinyl, Mutant Exclusive
Thank you so much for supporting Mutant in its early days and ordering a copy of the Deluxe edition of WONKA, on Vinyl. Unfortunately we are writing to inform you of another slight delay.
This is all a little bit granular, but It turns out the specific color combination of disc two (the Yellow and Orange swirl) was producing a significant warp no matter how many times they tried. So we had to make a pigment modification and spend a few more days in the lab to get the closest match of yellow and orange swirl that would press without warp...
Or, more succinctly, there was a pressing issue and we've finally figured it out. But it came at the expense of about almost another 3 weeks of delays.
The good news is that the album is finally actually on press. But then because of the custom foil wrap, we still have a few more days of pack-out and then the process of getting them to our warehouses. We've been given a timeline of arrival at our warehouses of June 15th. They are the top priority for all involved to get out the door upon arrival.
You may see some people receiving their standard WONKA vinyl copies or CDs - those did finish on time. We decided to start shipping those rather than delaying the whole edition.
Thank you so much for your continued patience. We are so grateful for your trust in us, and we are collectors ourselves and understand how annoying these kinds of e-mails can be.
