I was curious if there's anyone else who is active in a martial art or has been in the past?
Here's my story:
Eight years ago I earned my second degree black belt in Songahm Taekwondo. Songahm Taekwondo was founded in the US and is practiced by the ATA (American Taekwondo Association) in the US, and STF (Songahm Taekwondo Federation) and WTTU (Word Traditional Taekwondo Union) internationally. A vast majority of members, however, are in the US. Soon after I earned my second degree, lots of life changes happened and I moved on from Taekwondo to other things. Recently, I have joined a school that practices the Taeguk poomsae as set by the WTF (Word Taekwondo Federation). Black Belt certifications are received from the Kukkiwon (Taekwondo headquarters) in Korea and are accepted at the Olympics - not that plan on going to the Olympics, but I will be doing Olympic style sparring. I have started as a white belt, and am excited to make the journey to Black again.
