New collector from France - Passionate about Steelbooks & Premium Editions

"Hi everyone!
I'm a collector from France and I've been getting serious about physical media recently. I'm currently watching my movies on a LG C5 OLED with an Xbox for 4K playback and an Ultimea surround system. I'm a big fan of high-quality 4K UHD discs with Dolby Atmos tracks!
My collection is growing fast: I already own the Steelbooks for The Batman and F1, and I have Predator: Badlands and Gran Turismo on the way.
Now, I’m looking to take the next step into Premium Editions (Manta Lab, Nova Media, Blufans, WeET). I’m particularly interested in the Spider-Man Manta Lab release and I’m here to learn more about Group Buys to avoid those crazy eBay prices.
Happy to be part of the community and looking forward to chatting with you all!

Cheers!"

Bienvenue à toi !

What you need to know is there is actually no more GB ( Group Buys ) for Weet and Manta Lab a.k.a Collectong here.

You can find those on other sites that we don't and can't mention here for guidelines and forum policies.

However, for any other retailers, you'll find what you're looking for by following the threads.

For new Weet and Manta releases, you can definitely try your luck on their websites to secure your desired copy on pre-order date.

Hope it helps and welcome again to this wonderful community

Hello, okay, thank you for this information. I had no idea that we could no longer buy editions directly in bulk on the site. Honestly, though, I'm still happy to be on this site because we can find editions and perhaps make purchases among enthusiasts at much more affordable prices than some scalpers on eBay.

@ENDURANCE And hello to you too! Yes, indeed, I'm a big Christopher Nolan fan, especially of the trilogy with Christian Bale. If anyone has any limited editions of The Batman: The Dark Knight, I'd be interested.

I have a Panasonic player as well: it is fantastic and will serve you well. Bienvenue from Scotland.

Don't worry, the Panasonic DP-UB820 will follow.
You're definitely right to go for a Panasonic UB820 or if you can afford it the UB9000 is definitely worth it, built like a tank. Panasonic are really the only game left in town if you can't afford a Magnetar. Sony are a great company but that current top player of theirs is so old and they are showing no interest in producing a new one. I would also strongly recommend getting your new player with an ICOS multiregion modification, then you will be able to buy any disc from anywhere in the world. It's a little extra cost at the start but so worth it and ensures you are not in a forum complaining that a new collectors edition released wherever in the world is region locked. This is mostly relevant for DVD & Blu-ray but there are a handful of 4K discs that are region locked but the majority are region free. A lot of films you may want may only be available on DVD or Blu-ray. Just something to consider.

Ah yes, okay, I didn't know that was possible. And indeed, I'd like to watch South Korean films later on, for example, with the actor Ma Dong-seok, which are in region A. Thanks for the information; I'll look into that in the future.
