Tempted. Love that film back when. Shame it’s not on 4K though. Still… tempted.
Same, I really love this film. Always remember it being on UK TV growing up. Until recently I hadn't seen it in decades and all I could remember was when they literally Raise The Titanic. About a year ago I got talking to someone new at work about films and he mentioned the film and that he had the out of print UK Blu-ray and that I should watch it again. He lent it to me and I really enjoyed it especially John Barry's amazing score. His music in the scenes building up to them finally finding the wreck is stunning. One of the great film composers. I ordered the Shout Factory Blu-ray as the UK one was going for inflated prices. If this had been a new 4k scan from the OCN or Interpositive on UHD & Blu-ray discs it would have been worth the Imprint prices but that price just to get the current HD Blu-ray master, no thanks. Really good to see the film getting some love though.

This film really needs some Arrow love. Unfortunately I think it's owned by ITV Studios and not sure if they have any working relationship with Arrow. I can hope though...

Ive never even heard of this film. intrigued.
I wouldn't say it was any great masterpiece but I really enjoyed it, it's well photographed and directed with some great old school practical effects, great score by John Barry and decent performances from a good cast. The plot is obviously ludicrous and you have to enter into it knowing it was conceived before the Titanic was actually found which includes the assumption it sank in one piece. The actual raising of the ship is a great movie moment. The film flopped taking only 7 million on a final production cost of somewhere around 35 million with it's British producer Lord Grade famously saying years later " It would have been cheaper to have lowered the Atlantic "

I suppose I’m biased as, growing up I loved all things Titanic, but I remember the film being really good. Not wanting to spoil anything but the subplot was really strong and intriguing.

Damn, I am still tempted. Just wish it was 4K.
