Spoke Art is celebrating a trio of our favorite film heroines today with Los Angeles-based artist Rose Couch. Known for her intricately threaded portraits, Couch has taken needle to canvas to create three incredible original works featuring Ripley, Jackie and Leeloo.
Trained in traditional oil painting techniques by her artist mother (Happy Mother's Day!); Rose began to explore the natural textures and vibrancy of fiber artwork, creating stunning works by sewing thread through stretched canvas. Her artwork was previously featured in our Miyazaki and Anime exhibitions.
