NEW UPDATE 8/13/2013:
We have a short update on the finish details for our 2 exclusive Star Trek Into Darkness steelbooks. Both the steelbook in the Villain Edition and the Hero Edition steelbook will have debossed title treatments and be matte finishes. We had some fantastic ideas for the “special packaging” we promised for the Hero Edition, but unfortunately the time constraints of turning this around in just over a month before the release date meant that none of them were possible. The Entertainment Store exclusive sticker that has been on our previous releases will be on these releases too, and we can only apologise for being able to make the Hero Edition special rather than extra special.

All is not lost though – some of the special packaging we had planned for Star Trek Into Darkness will be present on our next release, which we will be announcing exclusively via HDN on Tuesday 20th August. You won’t be disappointed, I promise!

Star Trek Into Darkness – The Villain Edition (Entertainment Store Exclusive)
Deluxe packaging featuring a 1:50 scale model of the USS Vengeance alongside a stunning 2D and 3D blu-ray plus digital copy steelbook. Limited to 4,000 copies and available exclusively from The Entertainment Store. Final packaging, steelbook finish, embossing, release date and pricing TBC.

PREVIOUS UPDATES
From our friends at Entertainment Store in the UK:
The Entertainment Store Boldly goes where other E-tailers cannot

The fastest growing Entertainment E-tailer on the Marketplace, The Entertainment Store, continues its strong exclusive packaging offering in September 2013 with the introduction of 2 2D and 3D Blu Ray Steelbooks for Star Trek: Into Darkness Home Entertainment release.

The limited edition Steelbooks are limited to 4,000 copies each, and will be available to Pre-order from The Entertainment Store on Play.com from midday Friday July 19th 2013.

Since its arrival in March 2013 The Entertainment Store has been working closely with Paramount Home Entertainment and have already teamed up to bring us exclusive Blu Ray SKUs such as GI Joe and Hansel and Gretel but this latest batch of releases look to be the most interesting yet. The E-tailer distributes product directly from the Studio warehouses so the product is guaranteed as authentic and of the highest quality.

got mine yesterday dissapointed for the extra bucks ,see entertainment store have took some stick but they have had somebody put 50 feedbacks up to cover all the negative feedback shame they didn't address the problem better people were raving about them until this

Actually I think people like the UK versions thye just feel the ship is a bit cheap. Also I think people are a bit sore because ES said they were going to do something special which they couldn't (numbering) which got moved to WWZ

and you can by the same ship for lest than £5 so....

Steel= £25
Ship= £5
Packaging= £3
Total= £33

Making them a bigger profit. I would buy the amazon version and the ship separate if I wanted this version...

So in conclusion open the villian edition as the other is miles better

Fantastic... TNT has lost my package! Received a calling card on the 3rd... consignment number does not match against my address when trying to arrange online redelivery. Called them up, and for some reason they have this consignment number listed against an address outside of London. To make matters worse, they can find no trace of my orders as my post code does not come up against any delivery they have! Great!
Emailed ES 2 days but am yet to hear back... seriously contemplating cancelling the order!!

Received the villain edition on Tuesday and got the heroes steel today. Will be selling the heroes version with the ship, I much prefer the villain artwork.

Model ship.

Contains a scale model. Nice

The model ship is tiny and made out of metal and some kind of rubber with a plastic stand. Not really worth the extra £20, just buy the steelbook £25, although the artwork on this steelbook that comes with the gift set you cant buy on its own from ES, only comes in gift set with ship.

The steelbook you can buy is the image of the ship on fire falling through the atmosphere before it crashes.

The villain edition looks incredible. Easily the best of the 3 available imo. If it was sold separately from the ship then i'd buy it in an instant!

Also, why can't someone release both movies in a steel for around £30-35? Come on Paramount!!

Today's haul

Steelbooks

Not impressed with the Star Trek steels. The finish is poor. The Villan ship version has a very low resolution picture too. The Amazon version is better out of the two.

Not impressed with the ship. Pretty poor quality. Worse of the 3 I've got.

Just bought parts 1&2 of the Star Trek Magazine and I am very impressed with the models that came with them, especially part 1's. cannot wait to collect all parts. Hopefully they will do the Enterprise from this movie to go with the Vengeance.
