No chance of either I'm afraid, this is Fox we are talking about here.

The last two Fox waves have had embossing on some titles (April and June waves) and the finishing has improved with each wave. Embossing is certainly a possibility but a gloss finish is unlikely though not completely out of the question.

The film was shot with DV cams its meant to be seen this way
Danny Boyle wanted and decided in leaving the film's denouement untouched

Amen! I'm sick of explaining this to people. The transfer is spot on. Much like David Lynch's Inland Empire. It's all down to how it was shot, this is how the directors intended and they have stayed true to the source material. If naysayers want to compare the Blu-Ray to the DVD, the final scene where
they spell out the word help on the hills
is a perfect example at how it trashes the DVD in pq. Anyway, it's worth the upgrade for the audio alone in my books.

Well said. Some people out there still unfortunately believe a Blu Ray isn't worth the disc its printed on unless it has razor sharp picture quality.

Back to the steel though, this is one of my fav films and already own the double boxset on Blu Ray, really want this but for me it must have a GLOSS finish, make it happen Fox and you got yourself a sale!

Yeah the artwork is gorgeous, I pre ordered it the moment I saw it. I too have that double amaray boxset and the front always bugged me. Fingers crossed for a gloss finish!

Tempted at that price. A fox steel too so should turn out to be pretty decent quality.

Can anyone help?
We have recently seen the release of Oblivion, which through Amazon, Zavvi and all shops, left without embossing.
There is the possibility of launching a Zavvi sb high relief, while another store, like Amazon, launches the same product without high relief?
There are different releases in UK? Be the SB or the day after tomorrow can be embossed on Zavvi, but not on amazon?

They'll all be the same unless it states Zavvi Exclusive or Amazon Exclusive, etc. This release is trade wide so it will be the same product if ordered from any retailer trade wide.

Not to long to wait now for this. Expect dispatch notices in the next day or to.

Anyone know if any recent Fox steels had a gloss finish to them? Im trying to give myself some hope that this bad boy will get some glourious gloss to make this blood red steel just pop!

I remember Edward Scissorhands having a different to the usual matte finish. It was still matte but had element of spot gloss on it.

In Time pretty sure had a gloss finish all those moons ago.
