I had been watching this for a while waiting for the price to drop. It went out of stock at Amazon last week and then came back a few days ago, initially at the original price and then a quid or two more. Sp it may be that there may be more stock. I actually bought one of ebay last night, which it just typical, otherwise I would have got it from amazon.

How much did you get it off eBay, may I ask? This set is so heavy, wouldn't the postage cost a lot more?

Got it for £51 plus postage of £15. It arrived yesterday. However, underneath the shrink wrap the plastic case was damaged - chipped at the corner :(. It was well packed by the seller so not his fault, unless he dropped it before packing. The book is lovely, but the plastic case is really cheaply put together as another part - the join between the back and the sides at the bottom - isn't even stuck so it moves a bit.

This is why I would have preferred to have got it from amazon, even though I paid a bit less, as I could have returned it without any hassle for a new one. Its not worth the hassle (and cost) of sending it back to the ebay seller particularly as I've now missed the £75 price on amazon. I've glued the chip back, so its looks ok. But I don't expect the plastic case to hold up well given how badly put together it is.

Not sure what you mean by the plastic case being cheaply put together. It is a solid piece the one I have. There are pics in earlier posts. Perhaps you could take pic to show us what you mean.

Was the £15 postage domestic or international?

Man, amazon is fast. Mine was dispatched yesterday and arrived today, but noone was at home so all I got was a note. Should have it tomorrow, I called and had the address changed to the one at work.

and Boosh...ordered, finally got this one, have been seeing it on display at HMV from ages and kept admiring it, now have it. To keep it sealed or open and watch all greatness is another dilemma :)

What happens if I order this, but have no money on my card? How long do you think it takes until they cancel it?

Domestic postage.

I didn't explain myself very well. The plastic itself is thick and solid, made from three pieces - a u shaped piece (forming the top, front and back), and two side pieces. However on mine, they are very poorly stuck together. They aren't stuck all the way round (all the corners aren't stuck) and they are not aligned properly. So I reckon the sides will end up coming off after a while.

I have attached a picture of one of the bottom corners showing this - as a result the horizontal part you see can be moved forward and back.

^ open and enjoy it, buddy. All the movies and the set. ;)

That's the plan. Looking forward to watching them. I've only seen a couple of hitchcock films before and really enjoyed them.

Just had a bad week where all 3 things I've bought this week (from different places) have arrived damaged (whinge over).

I did this. Multiple times :)

It takes seven full days, then they cancel it.
Thanks for the info mate.

Unfortunately, 7 days is not enough for me. :( I just hope Amazon will keep on selling this at a cheap price for some time. I got money the 31st. Seems far away right now. :(

All gone again! I was on the fence even at the lower price, and now I'm regretting not ordering it.

Well, I got an order in, but I have no money for it lol. So if I don't work something out before they cancel it, there will be one more going back in stock. ;)

Tbh, I'm not even scared anymore not getting it at a great price next month. Amazon keeps on stocking these like the word 'limited' wasn't associated with this set at all. :hilarious:
