the prometheus edition looks like tr4sh imo without the 3d effect.. its just flat and boring.. and the gits effect is just pointless... they shouldve embossed and glossed it instead.. the alien edition mightve actually looked classier than the 3d edition if it had some decent bossing+finish

A point I raised myself in an earlier post. The artwork was clearly created for use with the 3D embossing, not a flat image, especially the Prometheus artwork.
Interestingly, the flat artwork is present inside the original release for this and Alien.If I can get photos of the inside of both slips I'll post some but might be tricky, especially with Alien as the image is darker...

I'd actually like to be a fly on the wall to see what challenges and motivation is behind all this because it's one deep hole to try and rebound from I guess. I'd like to see the contracts (existing or new), business case (investment and estimated returns), and budget balance sheets first (internal cost of goods and license costs with payment terms).

All I know is that at zero vat (6427 CZK*101)+(9900 CZK*301) gives 649,127 + 2,979,000 = 3,628,127 CZK. Is that enough to even kickstart the refunds, and everything else to shell out on past, present, and future. I think we'll see much more of these at these prices, but only if the majority of units are shifted here first. I think that has been an overcompensated oversight of wishful thinking at best.

Woefully unsuccessful attempt to highlight the flat artwork in photos but here they are anyway...
Prometheus artwork doesn't have the title and becomes so dark at the bottom that there's very little detail, whilst the Alien artwork is darker at the top, also losing detail. If they're using these images then yes, a special finish is definitely needed to elevate them from pointless to even vaguely ok...

Lets be clear, I have no intention to support either release, I just want my ~5500 back in cash not credit like everyone else on this forum. At least with Karel supported GBs that will ultimately get funds back into PayPal, that at least is a small win when it happens. I could not care less if the finest products are released and even if they were affordable, that opportunity has sailed for me long ago.

Same here... wouldn't touch any of their stuff with a bargepole no matter how desirable. I'm fortunate to own the original E3 releases so I fully understand how the prospect of picking up these editions must be very tempting but I just hope to God no-one gets sucked in...
