Less is more for me. Just let Fede do his thing with Romulus dear Ridley. Focus on Gladiator 3 with the Wolf or something...

Maybe Ridley saw the success (and/or the polarisation) of the Alien fans and casual watchers with Romulus, then decided to direct the next one himself?
His last several films have been really quite poor though. I think...maybe, his best most recent for me was The Last Duel; even then, a lot of people really didn't like that one either.

Fede obviously got fired. No one chooses to just pass the torch on something that was commercially successful like Romulus.

Ridley is not directing the next one either. In the video interview Fede explains he’s written the story, they are going with it and he’s producing along with Ridley and they are both searching for a new director together. He goes on to say that in true Ridley fashion he likes to pass the baton to new directors in the alien franchise lol. Wtf
