Title: Anaconda

Genre: Adventure, Horror

Director: Tom Gormican

Cast: Jack Black, Paul Rudd, Daniela Melchior

Plot: Planned reboot.

The latest soulless cash grab is here. It’s only saving grace may be if it’s budget is sub $100 million. It looks bad and not in the so-bad-it’s-good kind of bad, just straight-up disappointing.

Kind of reminds me of Tropic Thunder. I'm hopeful it will be dumb fun.

Love the Saving Silverman reunion too with Black and Zahn. That movie is such an under-rated comedy.

If that was the case I would be on board but the problem is the brand of humor from Tropic Thunder will never be made today. So it will likely be a neutered unfunny mess. I also do get the vibe it will be a creative pivot of a franchise like we saw with Jumanji.

I think rating will play a big factor.
If this is an R, my hopes of this being decent go up a lot. If its PG13, you're probably right.

My one big plot hole from the trailer is that they say they have been wanting to re-make Anaconda since they were kids...
Anaconda came out in 1997.

Rudd, Black, and Zahn would have been in their LATE 20s in 1997. lol

I like the meta humor showing in the trailer, they recognize the absurdity of the concept so they try a different spin on it instead of just doing a modern version... could be fun!
