Ironically, that update didn't make it onto the Facebook page either, but I'm sure it was just an oversight and Dan is probably swamped at the moment.

Hey, are there any updates? Bcs the PayPals buyer protection for the group buy of the OC ends on the 14th of Feb. It would be nice to get the box shipped until then or to extend the buyers protection ._.

Seriously?

If you can't trust that you'll be receiving the OC from the HDN GB, how can any piece of news magically restore that trust?

we would like to inform you that you will not be receiving this product.

the reason for this is as surprising as it is simple: the product was never planned.

Hi, honestly that's all part and parcel of the deal with most group buys. Your protection is really the established site you purchase via, as the initial paypal window often expires.

I can't guarantee you all orders will be shipped by then, as it will depend on multiple variables.

Dan needs to receive the new boxes and slips in the new year, which is a TBC date as of yet. Then there's quality control, assembly, sealing, packing and shipping before they get to me.

I will have to invoice everyone for shipping (which I will start prior to Dan shipping), awaiting invoice payment, receiving and checking all orders, then there's the label creation, packing and finally shipping out all the orders to my group buy members.

It's important to remember we are just 2 guys. Granted Dan has additional resource for his packing and shipping, but the rest is on him. It's the same with me, just 1 guy with 60 orders to ship.

Rest assured all purchases are guaranteed and will be delivered to you in due course.

I wonder, maybe the ones receiving de e-mails are the one that purchased directly from him?
I for one also did not receive any e-mail with such info, and frankly, that e-mail could be so easily copy/pasted here on the thread by Dan himself, to properly keep his buyers on this site properly informed. Would take just mere seconds, I believe.
But sure, we can ultimately understand Dan, and appreciate the message pasted here, thanks @walkintom!
Hi, yes that will be the case.

My apologies for not posting it here myself, the end of 2025 has been riddled with personal matters and a very busy time trying to get the final parts of the Annihilation project settled with the Box makers.

When I quickly checked in here I see someone had kindly added it to this thread so I didn't double up on the info.

I've updated this thread/Facebook & other forums almost monthly and in depth since the project started so I don't think there's been a lack of info cascaded on my behalf, just an oversight in this regard.

The email I sent is also attached to the website for all to see and can't be removed until you physically close the update window.

I'll have an update in the first couple weeks of the new year, each item in the entire project except the slips have been shared across all social media platforms including here.

Appreciate the patience

Dan

@staplehead Michael, It's very uncool for you to have made a non-reciept paypal claim for your GB order, knowing full well HDN rules, GB T&C's, and the current status of this release.

That's really poor forum etiquette, and it's safe to say you'll be banned from future GB's. Admin have also been informed. I'll leave it up to them to decide if any further action will be taken.

Very uncool, indeed. Please grow up somewhere else.

It wasn't for a OC guys, unluckily for any of you lol

It wasn't even a polite enquiry as to his options. It was an abrupt demand via email to my personal account, and quite a rude one at that. Followed immediately by a paypal claim for non-reciept when I tried to explain the basic GB T&C's.

If it was for a OC, or even a polite ask as to if I could help with reallocation of a slip order, I wouldn't have made him any guarantees, but I would have been inclined to try and help.

GB members are not allowed to simply demand refunds for 2 slips they've committed to purchase because they've changed their minds, or feel as though they've waited too long - particularly when we're talking about this release, with Dan's level of communication. This isn't a FAC or CM situation.

At the end of the day, the retailer has been paid by me under the terms of the GB, and it's poor form for another member to attempt to stiff me, a fellow collector, up who was good enough to offer them the service in the first place.

I was literally going to ask what's gone on, now I don't need to.

The guy is an idiot, it's not like these are off the shelf products and Astro have been super communicative so he should be well aware of how things are progressing.

Exactly that. I'd be inclined to believe it's a case of purposeful ignorance to try and sway the decision of a paypal case to fit his narrative.
