For those of you attempting to judge the quality of the lenticular (as in depth, clarity, etc.) based on the photos posted - my advice is don't.
No matter how good a camera you use, a photo of a lenticular will always look terrible.

The only way I've found of fairly easily showing off the quality of a lenticular is making a video using a HD camcorder instead.

Maybe it was cancelled but it was actually shipped out. Someone said earlier they have recieved orders from zavvi without it saying shipped.

Zavvi cancelled a couple of my spares today. So I decided to help them out a bit and cancelled a bunch more of my orders. Only kept the bare minimum. I really want to part ways with Zavvi. Pr!ck$

Pages and pages of these comments from dozens of Ninjas. If any of the mods/staff here has any connection to some folks at Z@vvi, it would nice to hear what's going on. This is not right, and it provides a negative atmosphere in the steelbook community. Personally I'm disgusted by what Z@vvi has done today to a huge majority of the buyers who preordered this months ago. No company should do this, but especially a company as established and seasoned as Z@vvi. Sorry but enough is e-freaking-nough.

Would love to hear some sort of inside scoop... some sort of apology.. some sort of explanation.

The only thing that creates a negative atmosphere is the attitude of the members here. There are ways of expressing dissatisfaction without resorting to ranting and swearing.

I got a cancellation / payment problem. I'm at the point where i naturally expect this. It's when I get my full order and they are all mint that I am pleasantly surprised.

I was done with Zavvi long ago.... I only order when I absolutely want something and have nowhere else to get it.

this is why all complaints relating to zavvi in zavvi exclusive steelbooks threads should stay in the thread, instead of the usual 'polite notice' before all of them are moved to the retailer thread. its a bit like talking about a footballer, without being able to talk about the team he is playing for- they go hand in hand. you cant talk about a footballers performance if his manager keeps him on the bench. etc etc

ideally we would talk about the steelbook, but zavvi are so so bad at this, the attention always turns to them and their management of their steels. how they have the audacity to call themselves the home of steelbooks while constantly shafting collectors is beyond me.

steelbooks deserve a better home

I agree with Levi here. It's an exclusive from one retailer (Zavvi), and the comments are related to both the SteelBook being discussed and the retailer themselves. Such comments should stay where they are so others who have pre-ordered the same item can read a continuous feed of comments relating to that product. As Levi states, the two go hand in hand. As also stated, we would love to talk about the SteelBook, but due to the retailer being inept, many of us can't because our orders got cancelled, thus prompting discussions around why this happened and subsequently how useless Zavvi are at managing their distribution channels

SteelBooks do deserve a better home. They deserve to be managed by a retailer who can: stick to release dates; ship items on time; deal with returns in an orderly manner; and above all else, not screw their customers about!

I don't think the issue of the steelbooks being sent out has anything to do with Zavvi, I think the blame should be directed towards Disney as surely if Zavvi had all the stock they would want to charge us and get them dispatched as quick as they can, they clearly only have a few in stock as some people have them, although Zavvi should be contacting customers and informing them of the delay and the reason behind all these cancellations but let's be honest we all know that Zavvi have zero customer relations skills
