I have made three orders, each with two exemplars. I got for all of this three orders cancellation mails. But a few hours later, i got two despatched mails for one order which has been canceled a few hours ago, but.... my card is not debited?! Very strange :wacky:

i was not twisting your words Snooloui. I know that you are a prominent member here. but I don't agree with redirecting the origin of frustration to fall on the customers. you made a direct implication that the members here are the ones with poor attitudes about the situation and are "responsible" for the negative atmosphere. I disagree. I think if everyone kept a positive attitude about situations like these, unfortunately nothing would ever get done about it. sometimes the honest feedback is less than positive, and if that's what is warranted, then I say let it have it's day. A lot of people were affected by this oversell that Zavvi pulled. It was really lousy of them to just randomly cancel orders with no communication to us and no explanation. Of course people are gonna be pissed. what do you expect. and they should be.

we live in a digital age of instant ability to communicate to us via multiple avenues (forums, social media, etc). but what do we get? no instead, I contact them via their hilarious "messaging" system and they give me a canned response (as always) that they oversold and hope it does not cause any inconvenience.
in other words "sorry but we don't really care. we're cancelling your order that you've had in place since day 1 of preorder. deal with it."

I love HDN. I believe the ninjas of this community are excellent. the staff is excellent. and this is our outlet to discuss the happenings of these releases. this oversell of Zavvi's Avengers Assemble happened, and we have opinions about it. HDN and a couple other forums are the voice of the steelbook community. if the voice keeps a shiny smiley attitude about things like this, that would be a facade.

clear and intentional communication can ALWAYS cure a problem like this. where is it?

The members here are absolutely responsible for the atmosphere of the forum. I am not saying members should not express their opinions simply that if you do have a negative opinion to share to be a little more constructive rather than ranting and swearing. I think it reflects badly on the members here and Steelbook collectors in general.

well said @jimmyv , well said.

Good customer service would be to apologize immediately for the mistake and offer a discount on another item or some other showing of good faith. Sweeping the mistake under the rug and pretending it didn't happen is bullshit and a good way to put yourself out of business.

I don't want them to go out of business, and I don't think that these kind of issues (as annoying and frustrating as they really are) will have any long term effect on Zavvi.

What I do think, is that with a bit more openness and communication, things could have been handled a bit better.

And I'm not a Zavvi defender (I wish they didn't need it), see the Zavvi retailer thread for more in-depth musings.

yeh, imagine going to a restaurant, being shown to a table, asked what you would like to order and you are just left there... indefinitely. little do you know your meal has been cremated in the kitchen and the chef and staff dont know what to do.

when you call a waiter to ask what is happening as you sit at your empty table, they duck and dive you, or give you an automated response each time you manage to get their attention. the place stinks of burnt food, you know they have messed up and yet they wont admit it, or even offer an explanation.

how about they cut the bullshxt and just say the chef burnt all your food, and tell you what will happen next?

we all eat at this restaurant regularly, and although we like the food, we know the service is atrocious. i think Gordon Ramsey needs to be called in to put the kitchen back in check because they will eventually lose all their custom, no matter how good their food is when it does eventually arrive

I don't want them to go out of business either but something is rotten in Denmark. Their services has been on a steep decline recently and then there is the zbox shenanigans. Where there is smoke there is fire.

Im just waiting it out, not going to get angry. If it gets shipped... Sweet, if not i still have my singapore viva ;)

I got 2 emails saying "Order Dispatched" Yesterday (10/04/15) So they should arrive Mon/Tue ...... ?
Same here, after all this hyperbole, I hope this steelbook better be in mint condition, and this is not shipped in those dreaded A1 mailers zavvi have been using lately. I'm getting sphincter twitches that are worrying me again, the results are not a pretty sight...:woot:

Could it be possible that everyone who has been charged has had theirs despatched but there's been a problem with email notifications?? *clutches at straws*

I think your clutching at straws......:D

I think members reported cards charged but in the order history it still shows as awaiting stock pick or processing, therefore not shipped, so probably not.

Also note, that I don't think Zavvi work all weekend, so expect shipping emails Monday morning.

well to be honest i'm surprised the staff here with all there 'zavvi contacts' haven't gone and asked the question whats going on with this one!
it feels like they just don't want to rock the boat or maybe its just me with that view but tend to notice when things go wrong the silence starts.
i know thats how its not probabely meant like that but thats how it comes across. I know ill prob not be popular for that view i'd just wish the staff would get more involved when things do go wrong and help reslove issues easier and yes i know we all have to contact zavvi as there "our orders" before its is said but as people are getting palmed off with standard zavvi responses!
sometimes going the extra mile would be appreciated and make us a better community if it worked all the different ways.

The silence is deafening really. HDN seem to be the first to get go-live times and dates for all the Zavvi exclusives, and even get their own specific discount codes on ninja week and whatnot, so clearly there is a relationship with Zavvi. Can none of the people who supply these details be contacted about this debacle?

Totally agree with you and Basil and i was thinking the same myself this afternoon, not wanting to say anything through fear of my messages being removed or taken the wrong way by the staff.

I've noticed on various threads that anytime there's a problem there's never a single post by any of the zavvi pushers, i appreciate the admin make a wage through the zavvi affiliate program and that it's probably against the terms to badmouth them in any way but i also work as an affiliate with in other fields and have a personal contact with every company that i work for.

I rarely rant, actually i don't think i ever have on here, but the level of service zavvi has given to their loyal customers with this release is disgraceful.

I have over a £1000 worth of pre-orders, all of these will be cancelled if my order for this title is messed up. I'd rather pay an extra few quid on ebay and get better packing and customer service, from amateur scalpers!

after all this palaver and everyone feeling so angry and downbeat about this product im glad i havent been charged yet,
im looking forward to seeing the first runners getting theirs to see if zavvi have done the item justice,
and that few come without damage,
i say best of luck to the people who receive it first and look forward to your pics,,

Crickets Chirping.
I have to say it was the same with the Aviator and the Aliens debacles, total silence from the staff.
