Alfred Hitchcock's ROPE
It's an underrated film that doesn't get much praise but Hitchcock did a Birdman without CGI. He used really long takes that he put together to look like one continuous shot. He used things like using peoples backs as a cut point so it looked good for it's time.

My choice is (possibly controversially)
ALIEN³ is a a far better movie than its given credit for.
It doesn't reach the dizzying heights of the first 2 movies but there's a nuance to ALIEN³.
After the all out shoot-fest of Aliens, the 3rd movie in the franchise took things back to a quieter tone, almost spiritual.
