This thread has been created to provide insight for folks trading and buying. Sometimes knowing that a guy/gal has some or MANY successful trades/sales is good peace of mind.

IF THE PERSON DOESN'T HAVE LOTS OF GOOD TRADER RATING FEEDBACK, AND YOU DONT KNOW THEM, THEN PRIVATE MESSAGE a Trading Moderator. We can try to get you the info you need to feel safe and or make a safe trade/purchase!

As we all know, trading is at your own risk. However, we are able to stop many deals from turning sour if you enable us. We have one bad person who has been a scam artist at many HT/Blu-ray sites besides ours.

The posts below are from when this was a Good Traders/Bad Traders list ... from the date this OP has been updated ... this thread will only serve as a Buyer Beware and Hall of Shame for those bad traders out there. If you need info on good traders view their trader rating under their avatar in the post bit (to the left) or PM a Mod.

I suggest you PM a mod for any deal over $75 if you dont know the person, regardless if they have 3 successful feedbacks etc. This is YOUR community as much as it is OURS, and we'll make the time everytime to make it as safe as possible for all.

Added 1/23/2012:

Just a general reminder - If you are experiencing difficulty with a trade at our site, feel free to contact a Trade Moderator, and we can provide suggestions on how to resolve the matter, if the trade took place at our site.

If, despite repeated attempts to resolve the trade/contact the trader, you do not receive any communication, or items, etc, please use the Feedback system in place at the site, or the rest of the community will not be aware of issues with traders. In addition, you have a limited time frame to file Paypal disputes, so please familiarize yourself with that process, just in case, to further protect yourself. In addition, the Staff will take action against accounts for repeat offenders if absolutely necessary.

He is also using pics from other peoples previous auctions. One is even watermarked with JW pic.

This guy is a scam. Obvious with the titles he is listing with zero feedback. See that a mile away.

Does anybody recognise the watermark on the seller's listing?

Yes. I buy stuff from that guy alot. He was the mod over on blu-ray.com

Yes, this picture steeling happens all of the time...I would stay far away. Granted, he could just be swiping pics from someone, or a site, and selling his own items, but the hassle of filing claims with Paypal and Ebay could not be worth it,if these are not legit. Often the 'buyer' carries the burden of proof believe it or not. Someone is bound to want to dump their rare Steels for one reason or another...happens all of the time. I'd stick with a reputable seller for 'higher priced' items, to avoid possible avoidable drama like this.

The fact he is using stolen pics is a dead give away especially on these rare expensive steels.

This person is going for the mother load with the rare expensive ones.

I also remember seing that same exact picture of a Wanted from another ebayer with zero feedback not to long ago.

Chip, believe it or not, people who are not frauds steal pics all of the time, too...we've seen it time and time again. People trying to make a quick buck, and they won't even take the time to post their own pics-it's lazy and pathetic, if you ask me. But to each their own. If anyone does decide to bid on these items, good luck. Not all sellers in this situation are bad, I'd just rather suggest avoiding risks with bigger ticket items(and believe me, I've taken big $$$ risks for non-Steelbook items, myself with positive outcomes). May just be a headache you don't need. Either way, good luck folks!:scat:

OH I believe it!!! I have been on the losing side of the fence a few times. What is worst is when somone posts a pic and then you get a steelbook from a different country directly from amazon itself. That is s scam and a certain person from france does this. 1maxvideo or something like that.

He had a picture of the french Batman Begins and he ended up having amazon sending me the ger re-print with the printed FSK. Pissed me off. He is one to stay away from. I see he has other OOS french steels listed and they are cheap. I bet they end up being the german reprints sent directly from amazon.de

Ok guys avoid this guy at eBay:

http://myworld.ebay.ca/coupon-gta/?_trksid=p4340.l2559

I just bought four steelbooks from him. After that he comes with ridiculous and overpriced shipping costs.

Option #1: 87 dollar
Option #2 127 dollar

I told him (4x) it's not necessary (my experience with collecting etc) and I refuse and want the standard method I had in mind; which is a lot cheaper.
The seller is deaf and stupid and not willing to corporate. By saying he only use insurance etc etc.

Well let me take one of his notes in a item-page:

Please purchase insurance - I am NOT responsible for lost, damaged or stolen packages once item(s) is/are shipped.
With other words, people are free to use any other. But no, he now forces people to use overpriced shipping costs and grabs that money too.

He already did this trick to a German guy, who bought one simple steelbook.

Charged US 99,21 s/h!! Package (Canada Post) shows:postage Rate CAD 33.32!!

If there is a case coming up via eBay I will win this for sure. No way I will let me treat like this German guy did. 33 dollars instead of 99. The rest of the 99 he keeps in his pocket. I don't like the way of gaining money. He also doing this with Canadian/Americans way too high shipping costs.

What the hell is the problem, just change those freaking shipping costs. unbelievable just unbelievable.

I think he never heard from: Customer is king......
